Hey, I've used Daiwa for years and I think they a great dead bait rod. I've casted whole fish baits with no problem. And they are worth every cent.
    Here's a site to check out. http://www.daiwasports.co.uk/products/specialist/rods/690/5/regal-x-pike
    Tight Lines

i use 2 daiwas, a 3lb tc whisker, and 3lb tc longbow. class rods. the smaller eyes close to the reel gives you the option of using a multiplier for float trolling too

I have an older daiwa rod. This one here:

Lovely rod, the handle is a bit long though. I use it for trolling too.

Your welcome, And if you come across a powermesh-x 12ft 3lb test, please let me know they are unreal. I'd like the second to make the a pair.

my dad has a powermesh, he better leave it to me in the will:D,
be careful with the cheaper ranges like emblems, i buckled a 2.5tc before, no visual damage, when i punch it hard it just buckled the backbone and flopped the bait 20ft out, all its good for now is spare rings

I have a Daiwa Neville Fickling Whisker Kevlar 3lbs TC 12',
also have the Shimano Diaflash 3lbs TC 12' which is very similar.

Would be prepared to let either of them go, since I just got two Amorphous to update.

Can be seen in Dublin if required drop a PM.
