The IWT is a conservation charity committed to raising awareness of Ireland’s rich natural heritage and protecting it for future generations.
We rely on your support to continue our work so your membership really matters! We need every member not only to support our campaigns, education programmes, research and managing our reserves, but every additional membership is an extra voice for nature conservation in Ireland – and the louder we are the more likely we are to be heard.

We now have a Kerry branch of the IWT, and our first event is a nature walk through Ballyseedy woods led by people familiar with the flora and fauna of the area. The woodland includes alluvial forest which is a priority habitat listed on Annex 1 of the Habitats Directive and is a candidate Special Area of Conservation.

So if you'd like to know more about our local environment and nature, come along and join us: 2pm, Ballyseedy woods south carpark (the Castlemaine road entrance), Sunday 16th October.
