Forgot security code

I think this is the right place to post, if not, mods please remove.

I forgot my security code on my phone and cant get into it. Is there a way to reset it without sending it off anywhere?

I changed it from the default code.

For the IMEI remove the back cover and battery and you should be able to find it on a barcode on the back of the phone.

If you cannot find the IMEI here phone your service provider if you purchased the phone from them and they should have it on file.

It still says code error, it mustn't work for my model
