Why did you lock my thread where I asked about good tv deal????
People ask here about all sort of thing- like -where to get passion fruit and you leave it open!
    Please explain! Is that fair???
From now on I expect you to lock evey kind of thread were somebody is looking for something.
Sure every one can find in the end what is looking for, but this forum is here to help and get more info from people!
Was it bothering you so much or was against rules? If it was against rules, I want a quote!!!

    Was it any of:

    Please don't do these things:
    1. Posts linking to illegal or inappropriate material (warez, porn etc.)
    2. Commercial or site spamming, shilling etc.
    3. Abusive posts, flaming, baiting etc.
    4. Blatently dragging threads off-topic
    5. Attention-seeking, particularly when you're not funny
    6. Please don't chain-post garbage in the middle of a thread. If you want to have a conversation with someone, PM them or go on IRC.
    7. Feel free to let others know about your fun thing/event in response to a request for something, but starting a thread to pimp your event is not allowed. This goes for ANY type of event. This is a discussion board, not a poster wall. For music events, read the Gigs\Events forum charter and see if you should post there instead.
    8. Do not post anything potentially defamatory or libellous about businesses or people. 'Free Speech' is vetoed by the welfare of Boards.ie.
    9. Do not use derogatory terms when referring to members of racial, ethnic or cultural groups.
    10. Txt spk, don't use it here, it's harder to read and you have a full keyboard in front of you.
    11. If someone asks for recommendations, don't use the opportunity to mention places that have "wronged" you. Take it up with the manager instead of the internet.
    12. Anything that causes mods work without benefiting the community.

    No, so what was wrong???

With a little bit of leg work you could sort it yourself instead of bothering people!

You know its against the rules to question a mod in public if you have a problum with it being locked you have to pm them.

Should I be looking for what I need on Dublin forum? Also, as I mentioned before, there is many similar threads here and they stay open.. but if thats the case he should only move it to the right forum, not just lock it for no reason!

The reason your threads are locked is because boards is racist.

You shouldn't take personally. These things happen for a reason. it's Friday be happy :D

From reading the thread that was locked, it appears that your query was answered... Galway is a small place and the options available were given, therefore there was no need to have the thread ongoing... Seems fair enough to me

Answer by Biko about Argos? Does it answer my question about good tv deal? cmon, would that bother anyone if it stays open?

My reading of the thread showed possible and viable answers to your query, Argos, Currys and O'connors, there are no other avenues to explore. I am from Galway and these are the only options available for hire purchase... Leaving the thread open is pointless as pointed out by the moderator...

Don't ask in the Galway forum as it will get locked!

In fairness, there are a handful of places to buy a tv in town. You were given an answer that two of these places do the payment plan you want and then when one of them answered you you responded with the following 'What '. Sarcasm is hardly going to help you when people are answering your questions. Just let it go, im fairly sure this one will be going into the locked pile next :D

Oh man, Biko has drinks after work on a Friday, so we can all go a bit nutty?

    :p

    IBTL.

And yes, I'm gonna report myself.

Keep locking your threads? I locked the TV thread because you were being rude to fergiesfolly when s/he made a valid point. And now I locked this.
That's two. What other threads are you referring to?

There are only a few TV sellers in the city and by just ringing them or calling in you'd get the info you asked for, by the sellers themselves.

If you would have PMd me we could have straightened this out and I would probably have reopened the TV thread. Now that's not going to happen.
