Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hmm...it seems I didn't quite think through my new 26" commuter build as well as I thought I had, I knew there was going to be many difficulties building it the way I wanted it but it's proving problematic to say the least!
One thing is for sure, it will have full mudguards even if I have to super glue them to the bike (which it looks like I may have to:()

One of our underage members won the Carrick Wheelers underage race series. Considering we don't have an underage or racing section, this is some achievement for the lad.

Just hopped on what appears to be a brand spankers Dublin bike, it was all shiny and problem free.

I'm sure there are people here who know a thing or two about TT bars that clip on to regular road handlebars. Would need some advice I think.

I've tried one TT with a set of loaned clip on TT bars and I really liked it, the issue with the loaned ones (Profile Design Airstryke) was that the loop was a bit awkward to hold when pushing up some draggy bits and the elbows felt a bit too far apart. Since the extension of that model is a one piece design I have started looking at various models of these things and the S-bend ones with separate extensions seem like the business.

One model in particular has struck my eye:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tranz-X-Tri-Bar-Black/dp/B002NQ31KA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_1

Would anyone know if those bars are any good (the reviews would suggest they are fine just a bit heavy) and has anyone used them and did you find them? My budget is small for this so don't go mad on the alternatives :D.

What's going on with VeloViewer? I've just lost 200 segments and 1,000kms YTD!

So it seems everyone was doing it, but just in order to level the playing field with everyone else who was doing it... I'm sensing a logic trap here.

Recently I noticed that they were planning an upgrade to a new version and there was something in what I read about data not being carried across. I haven't checked the details on their site though (too lazy) and it could just be coincidental timing, but it's one possible cause of anomalies.

I was just on Veloviewer, had to re-update everything and now it's mostly working fine for me.

If it's for a road bike, get ones with adjustable length like the Profile T2

My distance YTD seems to have been corrected and the KOM's etc. seem about right but I'm still missing over 200 segments.

If I delete all activities and reload them should that do the trick?

    Thanks.

    Mono -v- Lugged & T700 -v- T800 -v- T900

Ok we're talking carbon frames here. Do people have an opinion or an experience on which is better a monocoque or a lugged frame. Keeping all things equal, carbon type, design etc... which would you go for or prefer and why? Or does it make any difference at all?

Lastly I've done some digging on the net and can't find any solid pieces on the numbering structure. What is the difference between T700, 800 or 900?

Now I know a T800 was living tissue over a metal endo-skeleton as opposed to a T1000 which was mimetic poly-alloy (liquid metal) but when talking carbon fiber what's the difference?

It's like Teflon, T700, etc. are just a brand name used by Toray carbon fibers, the largest producer of carbon fiber worldwide:

Down in my dad's yest and he says to me 'There is an old cycling jersey upstairs that belongs to you.'
I run upstairs to find my old club jersey from the late 80's/early 90's.
The now defunct Lorraine Club. A simple but lovely jersey. It will be worn again.
I really need to find white shorts as to get a nice match.

Do Wiggle ever do general discount codes

Yes they used to do a lot of 20% off weekends and there is an ongoing 12% discount for platinum members. I'm guessing the recent dearth of the 20% deals is down to better stock control. They do tend to pick up a bit as we head towards Xmas...

Thanks. Noticed they had the FFWD disc wheel for 995 and wanted to see if I could get more off. Lost the number for the guy down south of the country selling all the track stuff (Cervelo, corima etc) on DoneDeal a few months back, so this is my next best option.

I see Cav has launched a new brand: CVNDSH.

The tag line is "FST AS FCK"

I'm pretty sure there is a slightly warped interpretation of that beyond what he intended.

Cycled into town on the Flite Team edition that I threw on the commuter, about 20k round trip, first spin longer than to the shops on it. Nasty burning in the nether regions just as I got home, can you use chamois cream when you're wearing jeans? :p
