Strange Cheque Activity

    Right so I had a grand total of 1.33 in my current account. I lodge a cheque in my local aib branch for 114.55. When I came home I checked my account through online banking and it says my balance is 1.88! In other words they credited the cents to my balance and not the euro. Obviously it would take up to 5 days for the cheque to clear but I find it strange and even frightening that they would credit the cents straight away like that. Wheres the 'sense' in this?!

    Bets advice is to visit your bank first thing Monday morning and ask them what is going on.
