What's the most awkward time you've had a coughing fit?

    I ask this because I believe I just had mine. I'm in a hospital minding my family's stuff, and there's this hot nurse messing around with the machine that my brother was getting his antibiotics from. She turned around and she started chatting me up! (rarely happens; I'm usually the one to instigate conversations). She seemed amiable enough and I'd just got her to tell me what time she gets off work (half eight, happy days) when I get the most enormous coughing fit this side of throat singing Mongolians! A serious irritation in my throat, eyes watering, the whole shebang. When I finally stop, she's gone. :(

    So AH, can you beat that? :o

    In an exam...... not good. Still passed though, not so sure about the others. Oh well like I said i passed.

    During an exam last winter. I was in the main hall in the RDS (which seats about 2000 per exam session) and it was deathly quiet... until I had a 3 minute coughing fit :eek:

    In a lecture.
    It was one of those really embarrassing can't-believe-I-don't-have-water-on-me, tears rolling down the face and gone bright red ones XD Ahhhh!
    Even the lecturer was looking at me nervously as if I'd keel over! :o

    i was the alterboy a good few years ago at mass and i couldnt stop coughing whilst holding that little bell, it was goin 90!

    I was in a lecture in college one time and couldn't stop coughing during the whole lecture. I had bronchitis at the time so was hard to control the coughing.
