can i do a leaving cert exam while in college?

    i did my leaving cert last year and im now in first year in university but i didnt do a third language for my exam so i was wondering if i could sit this years leaving cert french exam while remaining in first year in college and then use my points from last year and have french as a matriculation requirement? thanks.

    I think it depends on the course. You can't do it for medicine but I haven't heard of any other course that wouldn't let you :)

    ok well the course i want to do is an arts degree and im currently doing science so there should not be a problem in sitting the exam in june while finishing my year in college?

    You can sit a Leaving Cert exam anytime you want (more or less).
    As to whether a college accepts such results for matriculation, I believe that depends on the college and the course.
