I was driving from Dublin to Cork yesterday. I decided to take the old Dublin-Cork road and passing through Abbeyleix I saw several hundred people cycling black high nelly bikes!

What a fantastic sight ; all these people cycling along. I stopped off at Durrow to find out what was going on and it transpires that this was an attempt to get in to the Guinness book of records for the largest number of high nelly riders at one event.

Great idea and Laois looked really fabulous.
