Who keeps shooting these awesome birds? :(
The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) has been forced to put down a buzzard that was found shot and badly injured in County Westmeath.

They are appealing for information after a member of the public found the injured buzzard in Castletown Geoghegan, and brought it to the ISPCA National Animal Centre in Longford.

Society members gave it immediate pain relief and then transferred the bird to the Kildare Animal Foundation for specialist treatment by a wildlife vet.

Sadly one of the bird’s wings was so badly damaged that the bird could not be saved and had to be humanely euthanized to prevent further suffering.

I like that campaign, I'd definitely be giving money, I only support the Leinster animal shelters atm, would like to do more. Christmas is pretty ridiculous with the meat and turkeys...

Ah people hunting, hear the shots all the time when in the countryside, hate it. Guess they weren't too discerning...

The new additions to sovas menu this week look amazing, and even vegan tiramasu mmm. Cant go though, somebody eat all the nice things for me.

soya butcher is so good in terms of food and value and its become really busy. the downside of that is the wait time.

Was just having a look on a Ocado and came across Perfect World icecream. Why one earth would you make a dairy free ice cream and then stick egg yolk in it?! I thought honey was bad but egg yolk?! They specify free range but still they're cutting out a massive section of potential customers with something that plenty of other brands manage to do without so they could too.

that was annoying my friends but they just have one chef and it is starting to be booked for weeks apparently. People dont understand it's a popup thing that has gotten really popular unexpectedly and expect full restaurant status, it's not like that. Theyre looking for more chefs too. It's just one guy and insane value. I hope he gets his own place soon and will keep supporting him

bart was really nice, knew my name and all haha

I fully understand & will completely support him, I just hope it doesn't damage his venture. I want him to succeed so much, but I overheard people complaining and not everyone will be as understanding as us tar.

Trying to find some vegan wine for the 'season to be jolly' and found a site selling some, with suggestions that the particular wine would go well with lamb or cheese  picturing myself sitting there with lambes gambolling round the table while munching a slice of tofutti

Marks and Spencers sell a lot of vegan wine!

yess there's even a marks n spencers here. Are they marked vegan? I can't remember the last time I bought wine by now but I would like to make some mulled wine for the season that's in it :)

I've seen the dutch groups sharing that vegetarian restaurants per 1,000,000 habitants picture and going on about Ireland, not complaining but it is a bit of a skewed interpretation!

Have any of you tried those Midas fine art cheese? Are they in some shops in Ireland? I was looking at their site and their postage is ridiculous

A lot of people upset over on the Music->Gigs forum at Morrissey assailing them with a video of animals being butchered while he sang 'Meat is Murder' at his show during the week - more upset at being put upon to watch it than the actual message - I despair :(
