    Did ye miss the 3 sarcastic roll eyes thingies?

    A member on here was giving out about the .243 and was calling it a girls gun and then paulo came along and put him in his place.

    Think its a great all round cal myself for shooting in Ireland.

    Yep, didnt have paperwork through today so had to leave it there. Dom is going to shoot it in tomorrow. He has his own range at the shop in Kiltealy. Fine setup and good work, bedding is an excellent job and the cirecoat really finishes it off. The cnc machine work is so clean too.

    lovely looking gun. I love the look of the fluted barrels. Do they serve any other purpose besides keeping the weight down?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭bazza888

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,226 ✭✭✭Glensman

    Best of luck gixxer all you have to do now is learn how to shoot it. Ive shot a custom 204 of Doms and it was rediculously accurate on paper! It works fairly well on foxes too:D!!!

    Nice groups , What distance ,Was that 100 or 200 yards .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 225 ✭✭GixxerThou

    100 yards, these were the first groups I shot with it after shooting it in. Wind was a major factor, rifle weighs 7pounds with the scope. Built it as similar to my custom .270 as possible. I didnt want anything flash, just a highly accurate, lightweight stalking rifle that is an alternative to the .270! Always had a soft spot for .243's and always wanted a fluted kreiger barrel!

  • Registered Users Posts: 809 ✭✭✭ejg

    Nothing wrong with those groups.
    Light, accurate and reliable is the way to go.
    Hope she serves you well for years to come.

    Smashing rifle and very understated.
    I dig the black fluted barrel. Great idea to go custom on your meat gun .Very usable and a joy to use aswell:);
