hi have just purchased a nokia 3120classic,on the top of the screen there is a E symbol,can anybody tell me how to get this off.i dont use internet or anything.

You are connected, as this stands for 'Edge', its a type of data connection.

Menu> settings>connectivity>packet data > packet data connection > select 'when needed'

You can also go back to settings>configuration>and delete the access point from there.
