My favourite place in Ballybrit is no more, the shop is gone and replaced by a Ladbrokes :(

The rolls in there would feed two good men, all freshly cooked, anything you wanted, you could fill to overloading and great value.

Only other places I've tried was the Centra across from Park House Hotel in town but average, nothing worth writing about

I've had a search, we have no thread on this for Galway but lots of others regional forums do

    Any recommendations? :)

There is a shop beside Supermacs Eyre Square that have a decent deli counter and I always see the school boy savages with giant breakfast rolls! Not sure if it is Centra or another brand. They do good deals for sambo + drink combos.

I like the ones in the Esso station on the Headford Rd best. Although the coffee in the Topaz station Biko mentioned is gorgeous.

Have always been partial to the ones in Vivo off eyre square or the old G&L ones out by the college (think its a centra now)

    It's in Ballybrit, I'd say :D

Lynch's Cafe on Shop Street do a tasty breakfast roll. They use Colleran's pudding which is delish.

    Great hangover cure.

Fine roll in siopa an pobail in inverin , freshly cooked and they load it with grub . What about bad rolls ? I know one shop that never has the food hot in the breakfast rolls it drives me mental

The Spar shop in Roscam does a lovely breakfast roll (well I had it in a sandwich but the rolls there are nice too :)). They even cook fresh eggs and have a choice of grilled or deep fried sausages. Bit OT but in the morning they do a croissant filled with ham and brie and leave it in the hot holding so the brie melts - heaven in a bite.

The Texaco in spiddal do nice breakfast rolls, they stuff that much in them you could easily feed two with it and have plenty.

I used to love the ones from the Topaz on Newcastle Road back when I lived there.

I often get Topaz brown roll with red onions, peppers, egg salad, bit of cheese and a sliced breakfast sausage. Lovely stuff.
