    Hi,
Currently use homeplugs to connect 2 rooms.
One room has modem, router and ps3.
Other room has pc/media server and xbox

Would like to get rid of homeplugs and replace with cat cable.
Is there someone that would do this?
Probably need to go under floorboards.

    Thanks

Yep plenty of electricians will do this now. Although it doesn't actually have to be an electrician, but will probably be the neatest.

Are you going to add an extra network switch somewhere? Or do you have enough spare ports on the modem?

    Thanks for the reply.
Have a switch in the playroom and will have a spare port in the router when the homeplug is removed.
So I just need someone to run a length of cable from one to the other, but it has to go under the playroom/hall and sitting room.
This is the tricky bit, right? Or is there a special way of feeding a cable underneath that doesn't involve lifting carpet/boards etc?

There aren't any amazing tricks, but there might be an easy way to run the cable, depending on the construction of the house.

You'll often find some loose floor boards that are easy to lift, eg around radiators, fire places, above fuse board.

The lid off mini trunking is often quite handy for fishing wire under floors or up walls. If your anyway handy you could defo do this diy. Else ring some electricians and see if the install CAT5.
