Other ways of getting to the concert venue:

    http://www.irishrail.ie/cat_news.jsp?i=4642&p=116&n=237

    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/News-Centre/General-News/Phoenix-Park-Concerts/

Taxis will be permitted to drop passengers on Acres Rd (road between Papal cross and Chesterfield Avenue) only

I don't know why no body else has mentioned the train, seems to be the best way in.

Is there a big queue at the gates? Wondering is it worth my while trying to get to the pit.

    hi

is the shuttle bus just any old bus?
will it get there any faster that the regular bus,
or have special access or any of that?

basically, is there any advantage in the 9 quid shuttle as against the regular buses, lastly, can i just get one back to the city afterwards

    thanks
The shuttle bus can go into the park but you still have 10/15 minute walk.
better off getting the bus to the ashtown gate entrance ,not much of a walk from there.
EDIT:if there is a few of ye and you don't wanna walk to far, get a taxi,it would end up cheaper than the shuttle bus.Taxi's will be let in around half way to the gig entrance.

Well if someone could just tweet a picture of the current state of the ground in the venue that would help quite a few people live their life in the most appropriate attire for the evening.

    Wouldn't that be good too?

That's true, but that's not his point. When the concert is on for the love of God give the Twitter a rest for a few hours.

Anyone who cares about the gig will be there. You have waited nearly 20 years for this - leave the phone in your pocket and savour every minute of this very special concert.

Brings back memories of giving a VHS video of "Stone roses live at Blackpool" to a work mate and never getting it back? Never lent anything to anyone ever again?:(

Memories of a mate giving me a tape recording of the b-sides, of wearing sun hats in the winter.;)

The brand of beer they server is called urine. Not sure about cider.

And yeah, they'll probably do a half arsed search at the gate.
