Buying in UK for ROI Live traffic?

Will a TomTom GO LIVE 1000 UK and ROI Satellite Navigation System http://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-LIVE-Satellite-Navigation-System/dp/B003Z6P0AG be totally compatable with the mobile networks for HD live traffic here in Ireland? (Just checking before I buy) Thanks for any info. J.

Seems we don't actually know.

Essentially the service will be the same so you have no worries there, and it says so on the tin.

But quite rightly you ask if the service is available in Ireland and the answer is, probably, as long as Ireland is Dublin ~ and there may be a small subscription too.

From reading other posts on similar, I'd say it will work fine but the service won't be available here, but Tom Tom seem to be leading the pack and do have a limited live service as defined for the Republic Of Ireland, ie Dublin.
