    Hi there,
Would be very interested to hear your recommendations for a place in Donegal to visit for 2 nights over the BH weekend. Will be visiting with the OH and we are both interested in doing a bit of gentle hill walking (but beach walking would do) & will also hopefully be practicing taking some lovely scenic photographs with our DSLRs. I have only ever been up to Rathmullan before & would like to branch out and see a bit more of this magnificant land.
    Cheers.

You could stay in Redcastle in Inishowen. the redcastle hotel sits right on the banks of the Foyle. may be an expensive stay but i hear its worth it. I live in Redcastle myself. and you arent far from kinnegoe bay. as remote a beach as you could find. Leisureland is right next door to the hotel which is great for the kids. you could come visit me in work :P

Would recommend visiting Arranmore Island and that general area, stunning scenery and plenty of beaches and walks.

    Hiya,

The good Donegal Boardsie's here helped set up a "things to do in Donegal" map, hosted on google maps. Click this link to go to the thread, you'll find a link to the goole map with things pin pointed on it to do have a browse of it. I'm sure you'll find something in there to keep ya occupied ;)

What date is the bank holiday?

Did you consider taking in Derry's Hallowe'en celebrations? They are meant to be very good.

Donegal Town has a big Halloween weekend on the bank holiday. The abbey and central hotel have good deals at the moment.
