Difficult for me to say which times suit due to my work roster being done weekly. I put down my most likely times off, but I'll try my best to work around it if it doesnt suit!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

yep, no worries......I think most people will try work around it. I, like most, could probably do most times, so we can certainly find a happy medium.

The draft, for me, is the best part of the whole thing.

just waiting on two people Darklighter and Boccy23 to do their vote for the draft.....

looks like 10pm on tuesday 3rd is the leading time at the moment. Can congoose and robluvshandegg make it at that time?

We need to ideally have most people there for it, if possible.

Tuesday @ 10pm suits me. Won't get a chance to fill in survey today with work.

Tuesday the 3rd at 10 works for me too

I can make 10pm on Tuesday 3rd September work! :D

Draft all set for 10pm on Tuesday, 3rd September.

Good luck all and see you there!

I updated NFL.com with the draft date and time, so we are good to go.

Has the draft order been set or will it be the usual randomised 30 minutes prior?

Has the draft order been set or will it be the usual randomised 30 minutes prior?

Normally its 1h to 30 mins before.

D5 is the best of all the divisions.

    The Eastenders of Boards Leagues.

    Thanks man.

Was just asking cos am in another NFL.com league, and it says "Draft Order: The draft order will be randomized before the draft."

Didn't see that anywhere for the Div 5 league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,514 ✭✭✭BigBadRob83

Just found it, our draft order has already been set.
    Was this done randomly?

    Damn!!!
I missed the draft and my auto pick team is awful now.

My own fault, I was sat there last night thinking the draft was tomorrow.
For some reason I had in my head that today would be Tuesday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

funny that as GM I got no.1 pick :P

of course its randomized. No excuse missing the draft, you would have got an email on it on Monday, you voted on it, it was posted here.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

So how did we all draft?

    QB: Russell Wilson, Terrelle Pryor
RB: Adrian Peterson, Eddie Lacy, LeVeon Bell, Christine Michael
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Eric Decker, Vincent Brown, Justin Blackmon, Nate Washington
    TE: Jared Cook
    PK: Randy Bullock
    TD: Pittsburgh Steelers

    Team rated here:
    http://subscribers.footballguys.com/rate-my-team/team.php?team=6AEJJI9M7K52&rater=2

Happy with the draft, very happy with my starters, but if one of them goes down before week 4/5, I'm in trouble. Blackmon will be back then, as will hopefully Bell.

Reached for Pryor (not sure why) in round 9, but apart from that, I'm happy enough.

that said Leveon bell should a great addition aswell as blackmon if everyone stays healthy.

But obviously, that will never happen - AP to go down clutching his knee in Q2 on Sunday.

    Yeah, I know.
I was fully aware that the draft was Tuesday at 10, it wasn't till after the draft that I actually realized that yesterday was Tuesday.
Some how I had convinced myself that today would be Tuesday.

Here's how my team looks (Greystones Mariners):

    QB: RG3, Brandon Weeden
RB: Arian Foster, Daryl Richardson, Bryce Brown, Ben Tate
WR: Demaryius Thomas, Andre Johnson, Emmanuel Sanders, Kenbrell Thompkins, Santonio Holmes
    TE: Zach Sudfeld
    K: Steve Hauschka
    DEF: Indianapolis Colts

Pretty happy with that. Accidentally grabbed Bryce Brown when I meant to go for Ben Tate, which screwed up my backup RBs a little bit. Other than that, I think that's about as much as I could hope for in a 16 man league.

  • Registered Users Posts: 160 ✭✭Realalemadrid

    Forte Year old virgin:

    QB: Andrew Luck, (Sam Bradford)
RB: David Wilson, Chris Ivory, (Roy Helu)
WR: Megatron, Greg Jenings, Greg Little, (Kenny Stills)
    TE: Jarmichael Finley (Brent Celek)
    K: Matt Bryant
    DEF: Bengals (Redskins)

    Will hardly scare people.

Can't wait for kickoff all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,012 ✭✭✭BizzyC

    Wont Come Last:

    QB: Cam Newton (Ben Rothlesberger)
RB: Ray Rice, DeAngelo Williams, (Shonne Green, Bilal Powel)
WR: Torrey Smith, Mike Wallace, Kendall Wight (Nate Burleson)
    TE: Jimmy Graham (Jermaine Gresham)
    K: Blair Walsh
    DEF: Patriots

It's a bad bad sign when TE is your best stocked position....

  • Registered Users Posts: 95 ✭✭robluvshandegg

    Chain Reactions:

    QB: Colin Kaepernick, (Tim Tebow)
RB: LeSean McCoy, Stephen Jackson, (Denard Robinson, Daniel Thomas)
WR: Danny Amendola, Anquan Boldin, Tavon Austin, (Brian Quick, Reuben Randle)
    TE: Brandon Myers
    K: Matt Prater
    DEF: Chicago Bears

Hope Danny and Tavon can stay healthy for the season. :D

    SuperChamps:

    QB: Josh Freeman(Philip Rivers)
RB: BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Ahmad Bradshaw(Jonathon Franklin)
WR: AJ Green, Dwanye Bowe, Brandon Marshall (Brandon LaFell, Rod Streater, Bruce Butler)
    TE: Greg Olson
    K: Greg Zuerlin
    DEF: Texans

Pretty happy with my team considering I was last pick. Having Philips Rivers up against the Oaklands Raiders twice is a great bonus for my back-up QB. Stacked at WR and hopefully Smith and Bowe link up well. Weak spot is obviously running back, meant to draft one first but draft client stalled on me so ended up with two WRs. Rod Streater and Bruce Butler purely for the Raiders link, I think Streater could do well with Pyror though.

    AROUND THE LEAGUE

Holding true to draft order, first-round picks in this league have the highest projected point average (14.20) of any round this week. However, third-round (13.76) selections are projected to be more valuable than second-rounders (12.72).

There are expected to be some blowouts across the league this week, with an average margin of victory of 20.84 points.

The tightest winning margin of the week is projected to go to Infacteh Indians, with a difference of 6.70 points.

The Islanders has a tough draw, as they have the most projected points (98.04) in the league among teams predicted to lose this week.

Big Game Bottlers may have caught a scheduling break, as they have the lowest projected score (76.98) in the league for a team predicted to win this week.

Super Troopers FC is projected to win by 56.00 points, the largest margin in the league this week.

Super Troopers FC is projected to score 121.48 points this week, the highest total in the league.

With a projection of 56.54 points this week, Cutlering the Mustard has the lowest total in the league.

Week 1's league-wide projected average for points is 85.58.

I'm lovin these new details! The matchup preview articles are class aswell!

These projections look a bit nuts, maybe they'll get better as the year goes on and there's more data to work with.

    Victor Cruz projected at 26.2
Ryan Matthews at 18.8 against Texans defense

Will be interesting to see projection vs. actual

you picked streater right in front of me! Serious WR core, pity about your RB's!

barring something bananas, looks like a week 1 victory. even though he had peyton for 46 points, jared cook and AP put me in a good position.

never won my first week before either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭CJC86

Looks like I'll get the win this week. Did a last minute switch to insure Foster's carries with Tate since it looked like I was in good shape. Should have left Daryl Richardson in, I'd already have the win.

Really feel my opponents pain though, because the 2 players that really hurt him, Megatron and D Wilson, have buried me in my other league.

Losing start despite having Peyton. Blah. Really weak at RB2 and WR3 and open to any and all offers. Everyone is on the block. Especially Peyton for a decent offer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

turned down peyton & ingram for lacy and terrelle pryor.

    ballsy move by boccy.

RB's are king though. My last two seasons bear testament to that.

    Trade Agreed with Boccy23

Roddy White & Knowshon Moreno -for- Mark INgram and Vincent Jackson

League says trade review period is 2 days (so would have thought as we agreed it Friday morning would be finalised Sunday morning), but note on site says it own't process until Monday.
    Team Notes
Accepted Trade: Boccys Jockeys and The Islanders pending until the morning of Monday, September 16, 2013.

Commissioner - any way to get this through in advance of games Sunday?

    Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

lads, had a look there....doesnt seem like there is anything I can do about it.

I can vote against it, but cant change the two day period.

    Thanks for that man.

You can manually drop the players from each team as commissioner and add them to the other team.

If everyone's alright with it, could you do that?

regardless of weather everybodies ok with it or not it shouldn't be done. The Boards FF setup and rules are uniform across all divisions and that's how it should stay.

Reason I'm asking is that we processed it this morning assuming it would be done on time for Sunday, rules say 2 days review but trade won't process until Monday.
Doesn't make sense to punish teams because they did something that we thought we did something on time, and whatever the nfl.com interpretation is, it's obviously different.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

I hear ya rob, but as d3po said, the settings are what they are. I have seen issues with trades before.

Normally what happens is that now one of the players will go down with an acl and you're still stuck with the trade!!!

    annihilated this week. absolutely trounced.

    one concussion - lacy
3 missed 50 yarders (randy bullock)
no touchdowns (not even from AP)

I scored 46 points. In fact by 6.30pm yesterday it was over, I was down by 40 points!
