Why has it been set to 8? It was always 4.

And, yes it would be good to have a few reserves.

It was changed in 2017 when there was a refresh of the league.

Eagle Eye even mentioned it in his post so I'm not sure why he is changing it to 4 keepers now.

The league was set up wrong in the first place anyways. You should be able to keep a lot more than four players which would make it a hell of a lot more interesting.

The idea of a keeper league is similar to dynasty in that it's about building up a powerful team through the draft over time.

I'm all for staying in if we are starting over.

Was there a vote on it? I can't remember one. I'll change it back to 8 if you can find a post where it was definitively decided that the change would occur and agreed to by a majority.

Just voted on the poll.

My tuppence worth on keepers, I think everyone should be made to keep a minimum of 4 irrespective of how good or bad your squad is and a maximum of 8. It's a keeper league after all, if you don't like the guys you've got you can always offer them in trades or play the waiver wire game.

Not sure if there was an actual vote but the consensus was the majority wanted it changed to 8, including you who was particularly in favour of it.

That was the post where it was definitive and nobody had any objections when it was posted. It was said in numerous posts on that page in fact with zero objections from anyone regarding the 8 keepers.

in agreement 4 mini and 8 max is fine (open to more by vote as thats point of a keeper league its about dynasty

Yes I was in favour of it and I still am but I feel we should get a majority to agree before it becomes active.
There is nothing definitive, I looked back and there isn't even one post with a good few thanks on it.
I won't be home for a coupe of hours,l but I'll put up two posts below and people can thank the one the prefer and then it'll be done.

I'm voting for max 8 keepers. We need one more vote to make it 8 keepers. If we don't get another vote then it remains at 4.



I've removed all teams except the eight returners. We now have two divisions of four players with six of the eight making the playoffs.



I'm against forcing people to keep players, don't think that is fair at all.


Five people have voted in the draft poll and it looks like Wednesday 28th August at 10.00pm is the likely draft time. I'm leaving it open until 12 midnight tonight.

Make sure you have your keepers selected if you want to keep some players.

Keepers set so you can keep 8.

Random but obviously those with less keepers go first.

if its 8 teams and not 10, any interest in added a qb2 and/or Wr/RB ??? just thinking with 8 their is going be way too much on waiver wires

Ie even with 8 teams 3 qb's in a roster would talke only 24 of 32 possible starters

I did sign back up but looks like I was missed out on the main list. Logged into the account and no sign of my team either, presume its gone at this stage? Not too bothered either way, 8 keepers is a bit much imo but will play if its very handy to reverse the deletion

Well it's not handy and we need another player to put you back in as there has to be an even amount.

Just in case, can you tell me who your keepers were?

I just looked back through the thread and you quoted the post asking for names of teams. You never said you were back which is how you were missed.

As exactly Boccys Jockeys did first off and he got added, I naturally copied him.

My post was hardly aggressive so a simple apology would have sufficed rather than getting your pants in a twist. Shove it up your hole in any case

Agree with manafana, I think it was just a misreading of the tone of a post. No point losing out on a place in the league for it. Come back Hulk_Hands. It's about time we have a rivalry in the league and some people that straight up don't like each other.

Mine gave me an A with an 11-2 finish, said I'm an awesome fantasy god with amazing good looks and that I should move to America to work in the Fantasy Football industry rather than in boring IT.

So all in all not too bad!

I hope that people are more active on here than previous years. It was a bit crap for a while because you may aswell be playing in a default NFL league if nobody is chatting in here.

I was looking over the picks to see who else I could have picked instead, and I see Michael Thomas picked up in the 8th?? Seems very odd given he's the 4th ranked WR in the league.

Did "Can I borrow a Thielen" keep 8 players?

I see he also got James Connor in the 7th, must have been keepers, no way we all missed on both those players

Fair play. I am always caught somewhat at this stage of spending big to get someone who can help for the entire season or waiting for the inevitable injuries and the replacement pick-up at a later stage of the season.

Yeah, I always use my FAAB sparingly and it never pays off

It's an early gamble, but I figured that Jackson in particular could potentially become a keeper worthy player, Brown may also emerge as a big player which again would make him a potential keeper given their ages too...

Eagle Eye asked me to say he is back.

He says he has commissioner powers and he'll set up a draft if everybody agrees on a time.
