Beech Hedge

    Hi all,

    I have a beech hedge surrounding my site. Its down about 2-3 years. At the moment it is fairly overgrown with grass growing through it and was wondering what is the easiest way for a lazy gardener to get rid of this. Is there any weed killer that will not damage the hedge and what is the best way of preventing the grass from coming back (asumming that I get rid of it).

    I just use the lawn cuttings to keep the grass down and to feed the hedge. Works very well.

    laziest way is to just wait a year or two and nothing will grow under it:)

    Thanks for the advise lads. I went to the garden center and they recommended I spray Rambo 360 on the grass with the top of a bottle on the end of the knapsack to reduce spray. They said I should then cover it to prevent the grass from returning. Hopefully this does the trick. Thanks again.
