You are dead right and I'd worry in the exact same way. I think the guy in that video is inserting boards which are way too big.

The only two I have which would go straight into it are Ibara and that little 60 in 1. All the rest will be wired up via extension harnesses :)

Edit - ooh, forgot I had Tetris! That's also tiny. Another one to go straight in.

Unfortunately Ibara PCBs don't last very long when they turn up. :(

Right so, probably a really stupid question, but i can't think how to figure it out.
I got a few 220v monitors of Mitch today(thanks man i needed more time in your arcade wonderland) and power to them is via 2 black wires, plug already cut off.
Nice one,so I can hook em straight to AC.
How do i know which wire is neutral and which is live?
I'm just wanna splice em to the main AC-in wires before they hit the PSU.

Live should be connected to a fuse?

Took my GNET out last night to try XII Stag and found out something really annoying about some PCMCIA cards.

See the lovely shiny metal piece on top?

    $T2eC16ZHJH8FHQqH3NBKBSECM(0Tu!~~60_35.JPG

Well it's held on with glue!!

I took my Shikigami card out of the GNET and that metal cover piece just fell off. Real 'WTF?' moment. Absolutely zero force involved, it was like the glue just decided to stop working.

Then when I was removing Raiden II from the PCB holder to put the GNET instead, the feckin PCB holder decided it wanted to make life hard too. It slid up far too fast and Raiden II flopped forward, landing face first on the floor of the cab. Horrible bang.

Components all look fine, was too afraid to power it up though. Too much heartache for one day!

On a side note, XII Stag is fairly enjoyable. Bit of a Raiden vibe to it.

Hahaha! Yeah, that's pretty much what I felt like :D

Jaleco Ponys are a fecking nightmare to get PCBs mounted in.

The door is really low, so you'd think you can just crouch down, right?

Wrong. Check out how far the control panel comes out.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQMYfbXqyVL3Y0ueDjzM-wXo7zgPNdK2hpmibcRj8GcbOGA4rnP

If you crouch down normally, you can't see the door as the control panel is in the way.

So you've to climb in under the control panel with your head. Which involves you either getting down on your hands and knees like a baby or sitting on the floor and ducking your head in under.

There's nothing quite like the pain of cracking your head off the underside of a metal CP :D

After seeing saftyboys NNC at the weekend it inspired me to get the naomi uni chop going again!
got it stripped down and one leg done so far.
hopefully get the other done today and get it back together later.
Did some more tuning on the blast city monitor (the never ending saga :D)
have to say its looking fantastic!

    Espgaluga is quite enjoyable too!

Stick up some pics of the process, is it just hacking the side panels in half?

    Ha ha too late!
have the 2 done now.2nd one went a lot smoother.
used a 4" grinder for the second.Used a chop saw for the first one.
Little rough around the ages but will look fine.
going to spend my lunch break polishing the aluminium sides.
they are seriously gouged so I can only make them better.
Will try get a NNC set of stickers and overlay for it.
The CP holder and the monitor surround were painted black when I got it.
Would like it white but no sure It can be repainted with out alot of work.

Ok sorry for being a spanner,I just dont wanna wire them wrong and leave this earth early.
so there is a fuse beside the two wires on the chassis parts side. looking at solder side and parts side and comparing i can see belowr6vf.jpg

so looks like 1 and 2 are the AC coming out.
2 goes towards fuse I think (F801 TA4/250V )and 1 goes towards other side (L801)

So 1 is the neutral and 2 is the live or am i getting this completely wrong!!!
