Get some solder wick and some good flux, a lot easier than using a solder pump and you will fly through it.

Managed to find that Sega City pic with the After Burner II Control panel. Want!!!

What a bizarre yet gorgeous little thing.

    Burner.jpg

It at very least has me wanting to hunt down a Sega City again...

    They're stunning little yolks.

Good luck! I believe in you!

Would you take some pictures of the pots on the chassis so I can see where the hor frequency is? :D

It was indeed! I saw it over on his 'work in progress' thread on AO a couple of years ago and instantly wanted one. No clue who bought it, never saw any more pics so I take it nobody on AO?

Haven't seen one for sale since. On the rarity scale, they make Cute/SC19s/Pony m2 19 look common :(

I wish I grabbed a Egret 29 from Ronnie back in 2009 when they where dead cheap ...oh well .

Any idea what Egret 29s go for now these days?

I never see them up for sale. They seem to be another cab you've to be on the 'Ronnie waiting list' for.

I know a minty one sold in Germany for € 3500,- recently so I expect around € 2000,- for an average one .

They where well under € 1000,- when I grabbed my Cute at Ronnie's but then again so was my Cute .

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,076 ✭✭✭safetyboy

    Them 29's, want!

I thought you were going to say about €1500 (and was on track to saying how mad some people are)

€2000-€3500 though??? I have no words!

    That looks excellent.

What kind of controls does that machine use? Is it straightforward enough to do intricate patterns or handy enough?

I've decided to move onto a project I've been putting on the long finger, making my hori SNK cab a 6 slot multi board jobbie like the vertical Pony.

    Trying to get a list of the possible hori stuff that could go in and what the requirements are;

Vendetta - small board, can go straight into slot.
    Soul Edge - as above
    The Punisher - as above
STV & Souky - screw to wood panel on the side, wire in with jamma extender

So that leaves two more empty slots.

The following are all too big/heavy to go straight into the slots so need a jamma extension harness and would sit on a PCB holder mounted over the STV. Not all at once mind!

    Gamshara
    Dinorex
    Rastan
    Metal Black
SF 2 CE - (actually I might sell this as I'll never realistically be drilling two extra holes in the CP for buttons 5 & 6)

That leaves 1 more slot, which is the most important, as it needs to be the MVS (and possibly the PGM) on an extension harness. Needs to be easily accessible as I change games in it a lot.

With all of the above in mind, I'm also concerned CPS2 games wont be able to fit in. Unless I manage to get Alien Versus Predator in there permanently some how, wire it up and sell the other ones.

Eeek. This is going to be a far more complicated project than the Pony I think!

It just uses CAD (or a knock off version)
Its fairly ****ty software wise which is a shame.

I use a free program called draftsight to do .dxf drawings

Hahaha! I wish I owned that!

That's the one good thing about those boots, they're pretty tiny in comparison.

  • Registered Users Posts: 616 ✭✭✭Casey120

Punisher boots have ****ty audio though, just a small part of the music in an endless loop until your brain explodes .

The sound on my boot is a bit banjaxed, so you can barely hear the music, only really the sound effects - thankfully!
