Played TC4 in Dr Quirkys last weekend.

Didn't do very well but did a hell of a lot better on the game beside it, Battle something, has a machine gun type device?
Also saw that Metallica pin, getting no use for the money it cost

About €5,000?
Played the one in Fibbers a couple times, its a decent game, was too noisy to hear all the sound effects though, really a pinball for the house:D

I think that Metallica pin was more like 10 grand when it came out?

Not sure about the European pricing but the US pricing was as follows
The pro was $5000
The Premium was $7500
The Master of Puppets Limited Edition was $8,500

Not sure about the one in quirkeys but the one in Fibbers is only a pro model, it was actually supplied by a friend of mine, photo before it was installed

I'm no expert but I had seen those pics and thought it was that exact one.

Wasn't sure on the differences though.

the one in quirkies is a pro.
The pro models have less features making them more reliable to run on site.

Someone told me there was tekken 3 in Quirkeys, I went in and all they had was VF5
Atleast I got to play some wangan midnight.

Usually just poker machines but can get new pinball machines too. If he ever gets anything second hand I'll be first to know though

Eeek, my wand of death (ie, HV probe) arrived in the post yesterday.

Might give the monitor another week off before I go sticking pieces of metal under the anode

That bit scares the bejesus out of me, went with screwdriver and clamp to chassis.

Yeah the probe is pretty much the same thing, just with a fancy meter installed and a lot more insulation (and distance!) from the metal tip.

I'm going to be extra safe and once the anode is off, label all the cables going to the chassis and take a photo. Probably overkill, but really don't want to be left scratching my head when trying to put it back together again

This might be a silly silly question but......
When I play a fighter I like to be attacking left to right.player 1 side.
so on a VS cab can both players screen show them on the left using computer trickery?

know what i mean?!

Airmax, you can't just drop a single photo like that on us cab pervs without some detail!

I played one in the Trocadero a few years ago, but sad single player - didn't have anyone else to play with

Not sure about the starting side, interesting question. Would be a good reason for them to exist as I'd be similar to yourself. Always find starting on the 2 player side to be a bit of a handicap.

To be honest though, I'm not too big on the idea of a Versus City. I'd say for proper competitions they're great, but there's a lot of fun to be had in playing 2 player games on the one screen.

Played a few games of Street Fighter 2 against some dude on a Vs City in Singapore last time I was there.

His rather pretty girlfriend was sat on his lap watching attentively so he was putting that extra space to very good use. He absolutely demolished me as well and I like to think I'm quite good at Super Turbo.
