Dont know what I think of the lights!
kinda 50/50 but I'll add a switch anyway.

All thats left is the glass which I have coming tomorrow,
reassemble the coin door and maybe set it for 20 cent
    and tidy the wiring.:D

Well now that I have a fiancé I'm sure we'll start talking about buying a house soon (after the wedding of course).

When all is said and done the first thing I'm purchasing is a Street Fighter II - Champion Edition cab. I don't care weather she likes it or not.

Expect to hear the sound of begging and man tears at some time in the future, not a great way to make an impression on ones new neighbours though....

Just ran the numbers and I reckon that cab has cost me 320 all in!
    not bad I reckon.
The 60-1 PCB was 50 alone.

If I was to sell it what do you think it would be worth?
    Not that I am.
Im going to hang onto it in my garage for a while or maybe get my ma to "look after it" ;)

unless something sexy comes up for sale.........

Girlfriend was laminating a load of stuff today (ah, the prep work of a teacher getting ready to return to the class after the summer holidays!) and I wanted to get in on the act as it looked oddly fun - but what to laminate?

Then I got the idea of printing out arcade flyers and laminating them to put in my cab marquees. They came out better than expected!

Hey now, you have an AWSD, get a marquee holder made up by Urbanledge and start printing artwork ;)

Oisin, where are you getting the images to print?

still working on the cab..its a learning experience .replaced the faded, cracked and partially missing edging with some new ones.(no T molding on this baby!).Downside is I had to use white instead of the silver/white original ..and its still a bit rough(need to sand down the sides a bit more tommorrow.Still it looks a bit cleaner now
    original

    New

    265520.jpg
    265521.jpg
May pull it all off and redo it if I can get something closer to the original.
Still have to put perspex/Decals on teh cp , and I've been toying with the idea of having a monitor on a shelf above to display Marquees/2nd screens...

Looks like you're having good fun with that cab, it's really coming along nicely.

Nice choice of game too :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,920 ✭✭✭TechnoFreek

Thanks oisin. So you're just printing them to standard a4 paper on a basic colour printer?

Or are you wasting a load of ink on photo quality paper?

That's incredible, well done Bob-a-roony, very nice.
You still have the less well preserved brother of this cab, don't you....

Basic Epson printer to an A4 page (half the A4 page, A5 size). Then put them in a lamination sheet and send it through a laminator. The lamination sheets seem to make the colours more vivid for some reason.

Stupid alert, but how do I set the photo to print to half the a4 sheet?

Love those Raiden flyers so much in my cab that I decided to make some more.

Really going to try and make an effort to change them when I put a new game in :)

    DSC_0401_zps58d25f72.jpg

Also realized that the Neo Geo ones fit in Neo mini boxes! Have a feeling now I'm going to end up printing one out for every game :D

    DSC_0402_zpsd50a8566.jpg

    Ibara also fits in nicely

When I change the game in my cabs I usually put the right marquee in the holder :P
I have some A4 flyers also and a frame on the wall next to my cabs that I change sometimes ;)
