Phil Lynott is alone all day in Gorey

Philo arrived home with me 10 months ago - teeny pup. It was generally agreed he would be a small guy, low energy and so okay to be at home with my ('bit elderly like) parents. I'm in Dublin all day so his walks are limited.

Turns out his Da must have been some kind of sheepdog. He's collie-sized with the kind of energy more suited to racing 'round huge fields from morning til night, than sitting at the back door waiting for walkies.

Does anyone in the Gorey area want to socialise their dog either during the week or on weekends?

Maybe it's a stretch; but I wondered if we could let them spend the day together at mine or at yours and I'll drop off or collect when I get back in the evenings?

Otherwise - I'm off Friday's and all weekend. If I can ever collect your dog(s) bring them for walks, sort of.. force them to be friends with my dog! that would be great.

Let me know your thoughts - or if anyone knows of dog walking groups or socialisation thingys - I can't seem to track any down online in the Gorey area.

    ps
    Hi animal lovers!

Hi, sorry I live in another County so I can't help but I just wanted to say it's a great idea and I really hope you get someone who can help you out, it would be great to have a 'dog social network/support group' in different areas as a matter of course so dog owners could help each other out and maybe less people would be faced with 'dog is alone all day, can't afford a dog walker, have to rehome it' type situation.

Good luck, if I lived in Gorey I would deffo be up for helping you out!

Also check your local vets for recommended dog walkers - I know ours in Wicklow have a few names. :)
