Hi, bit complicated but just looking a bit of advice to see if anyone's had a similar experience. My wife came off the pill about 3 months ago, we were considering trying for a baby in the next year or so (our first) and as she had been on the pill for the last 10 years she wanted to try and get regular cycles without it before we started trying. We had been using other contraception, but about one month ago she started getting a mid-cycle bleed which only really stopped yesterday. She went to the doctor last week and he suggested she try a pregnancy test. It turned out positive, he said she may have had a miscarriage and her hormone levels would get back to normal and try another test in 5 days. She did another one this morning which was also positive. So now we're pretty worried that something might be wrong, would be delighted if she was pregnant, and I know sometimes spotting can occur but never heard of a woman bleeding so much in early pregnancy and she can't get back to the doctor till wednesday. Has anyone ever been through this before? Thanks.

Try the local maternity hospitals early pregnancy unit. We cannot give medical advice here, sorry.
