Does anyone know of a beach with decent and most importantly easily accessible rockpools? Looking to bring 2 4 year old so climbing not really an option. Would fountainstown have any?

    Thanks.

    Myrtleville or Church Bay.

At Myrtleville go to the left hand side of the beach but Church Bay is probably better for smallies. Go to the right hand side of the beach.

garryvoe/shanagarry beach has them.might be a bit far for you though, also the tide would have to be out.

Rocky Bay which is past Roberts Cove is a lovely place especially when tide is out

I second ardnahinch beach (ballycotton side of garyvoe). Used to spend a lot of time catching crabs on the rocks there as a kid. Took my 6 year old down recently and she loved it .

Tide needs to be a good bit out though.
