Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am switching back to ESB from Airtricity as I am installing Solar PV and therefore have no choice if I want the meagre export payments. Quite ironic that Airtricity do not provide this option!
Anyway I followed the link to switch from this site and it asks whether you are a new or old customer (I am old) and then it goes into a loop so no way I can switch online? I understand it is easy to enter the MPRN number and do the deal but so far no joy. Not a good start! I suppose it could be I am on a UK based computer so it may not allow me to do this with my UK IP address ??

    Hi freddyuk,

Your IP address should make no difference. What you need to do is select "New Customer" rather than "Existing Customer", and then you'll be asked whether you were previously an ESB customer. Click on yes.

You'll then be asked what you want to do, i.e. which utility you want to switch; gas, electricity, or both. After you've done that, you'll be brought to a screen which will present the currently available price plans.

Note that if you have a Nightsaver meter or are in receipt of the free electricity allowance, you would need to call one of our agents on 1850 30 50 90.

If you like, send me a PM and I can look after the switching process for you. Just include your MPRN, a current meter reading and your previous ESB account details.

    Thanks,

    David.
