Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

this is our first year with maize and a bit of wholecrop.... cows are in almost day and night... all still milking...

how much maize should be in the diet and the same with wholecrop.....

can both be fed together or is that just waste??

Hmmm, depends on alot of things, quantities, milk yield, stage of lactation, quota, other feeds available etc. Both can be fed ad lib and fed together. Both are low in CP so need that added, especially if no grass or grass silage included.

usually 20kg of maize silage is in a diet. what sort of yield are cows doing and what else are they being fed?
