Why didnt he say it to the Ref straight away if he had been abused ?

He was stood there beside them.

Was it reported to the ref at any stage?

Was not in the refs report anyway , otherwise he would of already of been charged , Like Chelsea for failing to control there players and AVB asked to explain his comments.

With all the anti Terry bias on this soccer thread Im not to surprised that this slipped under the radar.

    Cesc Fabregas

I think Guillem Balague sums it up best on his twitter

Cesc: IF he racially abused Kanoute, he's an idiot. Same as Terry or Suarez. Not proven thou. So, why jump to conclussions, why the mass character assessination?

Regarding Ferdinand, why is he yet to comment on it?

Exactly right regarding Shearer. He told the FA that if he was banned for it that he'd refuse to play for England in the World Cup. Earlier that season he broke Vega's nose and got away with that too.

I'd imagine Anton has been told not to comment. QPR will be releasing a statement soon.

I think he should wikipedia John Terry

Why wouldn't we trust a man who was sleeping with his team-mates partner behind his back for 4 months?

I'll be sending him my apologies as soon as I drop the kids off at Ian Huntley's house.

    Cesc Fabregas...

Anti-Terry bias? Surely any dislike people have of Terry is perfectly justifiable? Regarding his explanation of events, well it is a fairly poor excuse.

I'm not saying that the incident didn't happen as Terry claimed, I obviously don't know, but the poor excuse coupled with the footage and Terry's history of telling the truth is bound to lead to people drawing initial conclusions

Even though she denies it ever happened : Won her case for maintenance because there was no proof of her ever receiving so called hush money which was widely reported in the rags, nor the affair.

I wont comment on the second part because its in terrible taste.

    Nope not at all ;)

More so there is two sides to every story , we have yet to hear the other side of this story but some folks are calling for JT to be hung by the balls .

I will be the first Chelsea fan to say show him to the door if he is proven to have made the remarks in bad taste and not in the context he says it happened.

JT has done so much already he should have been hung by the balls years ago.

I dearly hope he gets done, this isn't the first time and it won't be the last time he carries on like this.

Football would be a better place without the likes of Terry.

I hate the fact that I can't describe him appropriately without getting a stupid infraction. But the c word was made for him.

    .

The Club is aware of an alleged racist incident in Sunday's Barclays Premier League fixture between QPR and Chelsea at Loftus Road.

The Football Association are now expected to conduct enquiries into the alleged incident.

QPR Chairman, Tony Fernandes, commented: "Queens Park Rangers Football Club does not condone racism in any way, shape or form.

"As a Club, we will provide our players with our unequivocal support when alleged incidents like this occur.

"The Club has, and will continue to support Kick It Out's One Game, One Community initiative, football's equality and inclusion campaign.

"However, we are keen to draw a line under this alleged incident and focus on our forthcoming fixtures, starting with Sunday's London derby at Spurs."

The Club will be making no further comment at this stage

It would be nice to have a statement from Ferdinand at this stage .

It all completely hangs in the hands of Ferdinand, if he says he was abused then the TV evidence supports that.

If he did say it I would fully expect there is behind the scenes mediation to try sweep it under the carpet, the last thing the FA would allow happen is the England Captain being charged for Racist abuse. Might even see some less obvious punishment a few months down the line.

Shearer got away lightly for kicking Neil Lennon in the head because he was England Captain. David Davis admitted as much in his book

Regarding Ferdinand, why is he yet to comment on it?

If Ferdinand believes there was nothing in this he'd have came out and said so long before now simple as he wud'nt have let JT get accused wrongly for this length of time, the longer it goes on without Ferdinand responding the more convinced I am there is cover up being done.

FA confirm they received an official complaint from QPR re Terry racist slur!
This is going to blow up now!!

It's a bit strange that QPR submit an official complaint after some randomer sitting in front of the TV did.

If Anton Ferdinand didn't feel it was worth a mention after the match then it's hard to imagine there's anything in it.

What would happen to Terry if he's found guilty?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 7,148 Mod ✭✭✭✭pistolpetes11

What would happen to Terry if he's found proven guilty?

Should be facing a lenghty ban , a police charge and his contract terminated .

Same for Suarez and Cesc Fab

What I think's different here is that Terry isn't denying saying the words, more the context which might well be harder to prove. He's admitted saying the words "****ing black bastard" and now they're arguing over the context in which he said them.

I think the entire thing will hinge on whether Ferdinand makes a complaint, if he does it's very hard to see Terry escape without punishment.

I don't get why they made up and hugged after the match in a meeting in the dressing room and then this happens. Not sure who's pushing this Anton Ferdinand or someone at QPR.

Wasn't that dismissed as bull by a QPR source earlier in the week?

I doubt this happened as JT described it. I'd say he tried to convince Ferdinand of the context in which he said it after the game, Ferdinand surely wud have come out defending him by now.

Was listening to off the ball there and there was a guy on (journo I think) and he was saying Ferdinand was pushing for an enquiry.

Was at the game. Terrys behaviour all through the game was a disgrace. In another incident near the end Shaun Derry got injured, Paddy Kenny kicked the ball out and Terry went and told Ashley Cole not to throw it back to Qpr. Shortly afterwards he had a kick at Kenny.

But the upshot is we now have all out war between Qpr and Chelsea! At least they know we exist. Was asked by a mumber of Chelsea fans on Shepherds Bush green on Sunday directions to our ground????? Its the same place as its always been for as long As i can remember!

I detest John Terry., i really do. But i'm inclined to believe him in this instance. The footage seems to look as if Terry is saying what he's saying in a dismissive manner!

Terry would be absolutely thick to turn around and as captain of his country, call the brother of his international centre back partner a black c*nt.

Then again, he's shown before that he has no respect for certain teammates. But in this case, i think he's telling the truth!

Hope to God Terry is found guilty and banned for the rest of the season. Can't stand the guy and everything he stands for.

I have to disagree with this.

If he did do it and it can be proved i hope he gets the book thrown at him.
But if he's innocent i hope it's proven and that be the end of it.
Not fair to judge someone before the trial

Christ that seems so obvious but i feel it had to be said

Terry has admitted he said it! Hes now trying to change the context it was said in!
