Seen it a few times, couldn't bring myself to go in as today for example it had a buggy left outside in the pouring rain, presumably for sale and loads of black bags and broken toys left outside! If thats outside id hate to see inside! Another day while parked waiting for my husband to come from the wellness center the staff were sat outside for atleast a half hour, I find that very intimidating and not very welcoming or professional!

Not living in Kilcock, I cannot comment on this shop.

But what irks me is that I wonder why ( nearly always) is a person's first post negative? I also wonder who would send their first post at 02h47, & 2 years and 5 months after registering?

The only reason it's a negative is because of the rubbish thats outside it and being left outside, the exact same bags and broken toys are still left outside this morning! I can post you a picture if you like! I'm a night owl so I tend to be up into the wee hours and yes it bothered me so much I posted under the only other post on this shop that is on boards as from my phone I can't figure out how to start my own thread! I'm sorry I irked you but I'm fairy annoyed about how it looks and being from kilcock and involved in community I wanted to voice my thoughts! After all it that not what we are all here for?? No?

Let's keep it civil folks - when someone joined/decides to make their first post really isn't relevant here.

i from kilcock to and i was in there earlier i didt see any rubbish outside ,maybe its been moved since ,and if your involed in community can u stop the youths that throw rubbish in the town ,break the windows in shop ,hang around where the post office used to be smoking ,i think u find some rubbish outside a shop is a very small problem on the list about kilcock, what about all the used condoms been left in the playground that also part of the community ,

Unfortunately iv no control over the youths in the town thats their parents job or the Gardi!! I am very aware of the mess at the old post office but I also know that the group in the old post office clean up most Mondays bottles, cans, cigarette butts, plastic cups etc left over from the weekend! Tidy towns and others in the town do try their best to clean up regularly but a shop front having rubbish left outside in no way looks good for the shop its self, not only the community. Most shop owners have pride in their shop fronts!! If it were in a bin outside the shop then no problem but left there on the ground? Hopefully it was cleaned up! Yes indeed the playground is part of the community but again there are groups doing their best with the up keep of these areas, at night certain areas are known to have youths about, we all know where! do you expect me, one person to go in and send them home? I'd be laughed at or worse! Why aren't they home? Where are the parents? The Gardi to send or escort them home? Maybe as a group someone would listen but one person??? But group's of people cant go hunting youths from places BUT they can report it to gardi!! Or community watch where relevant!

fair points ,i do know that the old post office is a touristy place and i think citzens advice as well there looking for people in kilcock to give ideas as to help keep the youths busy ,and looking for people to help out ,all i was saying in my orignal post was its a good shop for bargains and such ,but from your post that u would not go in because of rubbish maybe this stuff was dumped outside like fly tipping and they were waiting for it to be picked up by council ,

Aside from rubbish outside the shop, staff (or any people) loitering/hanging around outside a shop looks bad, and IS intimidating. I constantly see shop staff standing in their own doorway, or sitting on a window ledge outside smoking, it's a real turn off for shoppers.

Anyone remember the "Cheaper" shop on the bridge in Kilcock? Constantly had the staff and friends sitting outside, and despite having one of the best pitches in the town, couldn't get customers in the door to buy anything, so it closed...

    See a connection at all?
