I have €4,000 I need to change to sterling, anybody know who gives the best rate or does any deals when you're exchanging a large amount?

Phone the banks and see what they'll give you. Its unlikely to vary by more than 1-2%.

Are you happy carrying that amount of cash?

No taxi into town me thinks. An inheritance so not thrilled to even have the money. Never been so sad getting four grand in my life:(

Are banks better than the currency exchange places?

    I heard they're garbage.

Joe Walsh Tour ForEx, 69 Upper O'Connell Street, seems the best bet, they would give £3,466 for €4,000. Not bad:)
