I worked for HMV and couldn't believe how people went to GS instead of us, when all major titles were at least 10 squids less.

Hitman Absolution was 37.99 for the first week of release!!! 59.99 elsewhere.

Edit: New HMV are selling it at 59.99.

My parcel motel tells me the game was delivered to their depot at 6.30pm Saturday night (and it's still there).

Is this possible if Gamesnash didn't dispatch the game until a few hours ago?

There was no pic of the package though, like there usually is...

    Very strange indeed.

Perhaps the consignment was booked onto the system as being there even though the pickup had yet to take place.

    Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

After the nightmare of my disc drive failing.... My 18gb download for the game from PSN, which took 20 hours, failed to install. Some error about corrupted data.
Jesus fûcking Christ. The gaming Gods don't want me to play this game.

i think its only fair that all of us boards crew members hold a minute of silence for you, no but seriously thats a horrible bit of luck honestly my heart goes out to you.

Decent review from the Guardian. 5/5 and acknowledges the few flaws which are there. One minor spoiler towards the end but it's well sign-posted so easy to avoid.

I'm now going to retire from reviews before I ruin the game.

Dont know I went straight down to the scores

Then you ran straight to the comment section to say the review was bull**** and the score wasn't justified, before exclaiming "U R BIAAASSSS!!!"

Wonder how dead the GTA forum will be tomorrow at around 8pm? From one of the busiest threads on boards, to dead in a day :pac:

That's what I was thinking myself Pat. Maybe PM are preparing themselves for the onslaught of games about to go through their system.

Don't do it. what's another 6/12 hours (if you're getting it at midnight/tomorrow).

Be the kid opening their christmas presents, savour the moment of putting it into the system and enjoying the first hours.

George Hook on about the game in a minute.

    This should be good fun

I know I said a few days ago that it might be pointless to buy a guide, but I think I might pick this up later:

Thats what hype and excitement does I guess!

Anyone know if you need the Internet on the PS3 to get the game up and running with the first install ? I've just moved home and haven't the broadband set up so my PS3 hasn't been updated in a few months,

I'm absolutely bricking it that I'll need it and won't get a chance to play it!!

Just in case it won't work get yourself a memory stick format it to Fat32 create a folder in the stick call it PS3 then in the folder create another folder called UPDATE its important its all in block letters. Then go to the playstation website and download the latest update, transfer to the stick plug into your playstation. And bobs your uncle and fannies your aunt!
