Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Im in my final year of advertising and marketing communications and I would LOVE to get into lecturing. Be great to teach on the course that Im doing now myself! Although thats a tad fussy!

My head of department told me to see if I could get into part time lecturing in DBS or somewhere while I am working next year.

Does anyone know how likely it is that I would get to do this, or is there any kind of third level teaching course that I could do to improve my chances..

    Thanks.

In most cases, the route to lecturing involves doing a PhD and this, in turn, brings along chances to develop your lecturing skills - many doctoral students are asked to teach a few classes in their own department and also give papers at national and international conferences - as a result, many doctoral graduates have a good level of lecturing experience by the time they graduate. Some universities also have courses for lecturing staff on the development of teaching skills etc.

These are general points however and I'm not sure how things normally work in your field.
