You'd need 2 510-ego adapters. But even at that, I think the kangers are too wide to fit the base!

    [QUOTE=krissovo;81723216}
Maybe even these to blow your head off:

    http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/dcc.htm[/QUOTE]

The amp limit (2.5amps) and voltage range (4.8v max) on the Twists wouldn't be suited for a single dual-coil (a single 1.5ohm DCC would top out at 3.7v before hitting the 2.5amp limit, which'd be less than two 5watt vapes so unless somebody likes their weaker vapes...), never mind two of them.
Two DCCs would amount to four 3ohm coils having the 2.5amp current split between them (trying to create four piddly 1 watt vapes) and in order for that to happen, the voltage would have to drop to 1.8v, which it can't do...
Sounds like a recipe for a fried circuit or a hot battery.

    :D

DCC = not great on a Twist.

    2 DCCs = abysmal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,645 ✭✭✭krissovo

Got you, I assume a provari is good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

Great up to a point. It has a 3.5amp limit, but that limit is overridden by a 14watt limit, so a 1.5ohm DCC can only ever reach 14watts (2 coils @ 7watts).
That'd still be a good vape, but could be better.
Two 3.5ohm or 4ohm single coil cartos using that double barrel thingy would be ideal.
Edit: no, it wouldn't... 14 watt limit, still. Feck's sake!
Most mods would be awful for triple-coils or quad-coils (which is what two DCCs would be). You'd need a 6amp limit for four coils. For maximum vapour, anyway.

Not too many mods besides the self-built ones have a 6amp limit.

So what would be best for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

So what would be best for it?

The only mass-market device with a great limit that doesn't later limit by watts seems to be the Zmax V2.
If you have it in the RMS mode and choose to use the voltage instead of wattage, it seems to fire anything within it's 4amp limit, so it'd easily make the most of that madvapes thing.
Would push two single-coil cartos to 12 watts each.
Unvapable (to me/most people), but good that it's doable.
I can see why mod-makers choose to make it undoable. Most users would experience the pitfalls rather than use the benefits, because it requires maths.

Would be useful for triple coils if you were building. Three 4.5ohm coils would be fantastic @ 6v, and just reach the amp-limit. 3 x 8watts would mean... a one or two second drag would fill your mouth with plume-overdose and/or throathit depending on extra airholes. Mmmm.

Telescopic mechanical mods with stacked batteries would give good results too, but if you didn't do your maths properly or used crap batteries, you'd have some serious problems.

does paypal not give you an option to pay directly with a credit card without needing a paypal account yourself?

You use your card through Paypal when you're checking out on e-smokeireland. Most vaping sites use either Skrill or Paypal.

The kit you've chosen is a great place to start

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

right, I have the kanger t3 here. its a 2.5 ohm head on it. I also have a twist that goes from 3.3v up to 4.8 will vaping at the 4.8 pop the head?

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭sept09baby

No it should be fine but I'd imagine a burnt taste vaping at that level. There's a chart somewhere showing resistance/voltage etc

so out with my mate earlier who's a vaper/smoker and he was smoking away. i still love the smell of smoke for some reason and asked him could i take a drag. Took a drag and could feel my lungs objecting to it. The taste lingered in my mouth and the amount of smoke that i exhaled compared to the amount of vapour i was producing a few minutes before was disappointing. At a pinch, maybe, big if i ever need a nic hit and have no juice or a way to get juice quickly i will smoke but only as a last resort.

I had a similar experience a couple of months ago. Won't say I'll never smoke again, but after that experience (two smokes on a night out) I can say I do actually prefer vaping. Not counting that night, I'm seven months into vaping.

the worst thing is that if i do go back smoking cause the ecig has died or is out of juice and i cant sort it straight away would be a night out. Have to say i dont miss the wheezing and coughing the day after a night out when i would have smoked up to 40 smokes in the space of a few hours.

so I was out Saturday night and just used the t3's, not impressed with them anymore as they seemed to leak. both batteries I used them on had to be dried last night, I think its because the wick is so low down it soaks up so much and then very very slowly leaks down the inside. as its lower to the battery it hits it fairly quick. heard a gurgling when taking a puff I don't hear too often on the t2's. don't think ill buy more t3's now.

Wonder would an atomiser that used a base with raised/beaded lines made of resistance material ever work? Something the same shape as a heat sink except made of some high resistance material in dripper format. Kind of like a teensy weensy frying pan! It would last forever and be a cinch to clean! No need for mesh or wick, just heat the juice.

    Probably a stupid idea!

can someone shed some light on this please, on the vivi nova I've just burnt head number 3 over the course of an hour!!!

all 2.8 heads, and I'm vaping from 3 to 4 volts. I put the juice in and first time just vaped straight away. burnt it cause wick wasn't wet enough, 2nd and 3rd I left sitting for more than 10 minutes and still burnt after a few puffs :only reason I ask is that I'm away from the house and I don't have any other device with ne but I have 1 more head ready to go if needs be.

Sounds like a bad batch to me :(, never had a problem with my one's even using them straight after putting a new one in.

Thats bad luck :( I have had an awful lot of issues with novas, but thats leaking, bent posts, threading issues on the tubes things like that, the heads seem to last forever with most juices.
The 2.8 heads I vape around 4.5 4.8v and never an issue.

I found out the hard way the Vivi Nova doesn't like dark juices and my coils will clog up fairly quickly with them. With light juices, they'll last for a couple of weeks or more.
I tend to roll the VN along its axis, to let the juice get into the wick /coil area, because I reckoned the normal wicking draw isn't enough, it needs a bit of encouragement.
I vape them as low as 3.0V sometimes, but more often 3.4V, occasionally going to 3.8V. At first, I was 3.8V and up to 4.2V a lot, but that's when the first ones started to clog up quickly.
I also discovered the CE6 clearo head is the same as the VN.

Hi I usually order the 100ml HS menthol from Bargain Vapour buts its out of stock :( Is there anyone else that does 100ml menthol for a good price like that? It was on 13.99 which was fantastic.

  • Registered Users Posts: 27 Vapechick

I ordered through Paypal just two 100 mil bottles to try them out. I took the free delivery option 15 to 20 working days and the total price came to 15 quid. If it works out I will deffo go back for loads more as is if you order 10 bottles you get 15% off. I was paying 15 quid for a 30 mil bottle here in Laois in a shop  So will be thrilled if its ok!

Looking at that link the premium liquid is hangsen and the others are dekang.
Theirs a stall at the boot sale in Kilkenny that has juice but it's not hangsen or dekand, duno if it's mixed by themselves or nor but I'll pass till I can be sure.
Hangsen is less perfumie and smother, Dekang is good stuff but some have a distinct chemical taste when opened first.

Oh god dont think I would touch something from a carboot sale lol .I think It was you who game me the link for the 100ml menthol Hanson from bargain vapour. I love it excellent value and delivered so quickly too. I also tried the double menthol which at first I thought ugh tastes like Harpic toilet cleaner but after an hour of vaping I absolutely love it. Brill throat hit and your breath is so fresh and minty lol

I have tried 4 or 5 fruity ones and hate them , no hit whatsoever from them ???

    Anyone used juicyvapor.com?

Very tempted to place an order, as some of the flavours look great, and you can choose to have the juices made with a VG base, which I need..

Only thing I'm worried about is being hit for customs charges.. shipping is via USPS - has anyone any experience buying juices from the States, and were you screwed by customs?

Ordered from Green Smoke USA a few times and never had anything to do with customs.
Only time I had problems with customs was a purchase from China when I got billed by DHL for customs tax and import charges.

Have ordered a fair bit of stuff now from govapes and electronicstix and no issue with customs yet.

I've ordered a good bit of stuff from the US, and all was good, but you may get stung. It's not like you're going to be order 1000's worth of liquid anyway, so the VAT and Import duty on it wouldn't be that much! :)

Let us know how you get on with those, seriously interested. I made the mistake of using cheap no-name juice from DX and it put me right off buying cheap juice from China. Had me out in spots
