Anyone have a goblin v3? Just got mine of fasttech and I'm blown away. Never thought I'd get into two coils but this thing has everything.

The last two goblins had this screw that you needed to take out to bottom fill, complete nightmare. So easy to do dual coil builds, easiest thing I've ever wicked by a mile and adjustable juice flow. Only thing I'm not sure about is I don't think standard drip tips fit it properly. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm using the V3 and loving it, single coil deck,1.2 coil, afc almost closed and giving a perfect mtl vape. I use the black tip that was included but now that you mention it i'll try a different one to see what happens.

Haven't tried the single set up I was afraid of breaking my new shiny. I actually have no idea how to get that bit off... I just tried out that weird black tip that came with it and it gets hot so fast, same with the metal one.

That black one is the weirdest tip I ever saw it's like a big nipple. I think the O rings on my cheapo POM tips are too thick for the tank

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,185 ✭✭✭Dr Bill V1.5

Tried a couple of different tips and they all are a loose but secure fit and a good vape from them all.
I don't get any heat issues as I'm only running it at 25w and haven't had a dual coil setup in it yet but if it is heating up on you then your best option is a Delrin tip for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

I saw reviews of the tank before I bought it and some guy had these specialised POM tips that didn't sit into the hole but actually went through the underside of it. I can't seem to find them anywhere though

Anyone any recommendations for a new mod? Have the cuboid 150w at the moment and its doing my head in. For some reasons its just not reading the heads i use on it correctly. It just said a .5 kanger subtank was 1.8..... Usually i find something i like and stop paying attention to whats new out there so i've no idea whats good or not any more.

The Wismec RX200S or the RX2/3 are decent mods or if you want to go a bit more cash the Minikin V2 is excellent.

Here are 3 of my favorite mods that I have bought in the last 2 months...

    http://e-smokeireland.com/product/praxis-banshee/

They all read the resistances correctly...

Yeah the Banshee is also a great performer and reasonably priced.

I have the V1,the V2 have been out for more than a year & they are hard to find now but here's a few left in stock...

The first link is in China,we all use that site but China has closed down at the moment because of their New Year, normal delivery can take a month...

The next link is UK but never used them...

The next link is Amazon but quite expensive because it's a full kit...

Cheers. Might grab one from gearbest in a couple of weeks.

Whats the v1 like? Or is there any other decent side by side mods?

Had a look at the tesla but dont like the idea of not being able to adjust the wattage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,894 ✭✭✭TinCool

I just ordered a tesla 40w stealth mod. It's been getting some good reviews. Todd has one up on his site. It has variable wattage. Not sure if the 40w is a no go for you if you're in to sub ohming, but since I'm a MTL man 10-12watts does me fine. Hopefully should receive delivery of it tomorrow.

The V1 does have a couple of issues for me & maybe ok for others,it is a very heavy mod,not suitable for a shirt pocket, the fire button is in an awkward place for me because of my arthritis, the mod just works great & has a built-in battery.
The only other side by side mod that I have found in Ireland is a Juppi, check it out on youtube to see the reviews,Esmoke sells them http://e-smokeireland.com/product/kangertech-juppi-kit/

I'm new to vaping , I've ordered a pockex from best shop and some juice + coils. Can anyone recommend any sites that are good?

Welcome, out of interest what juice did you get & what was the nicotine strength & the PG/VG ratio.
    Here are a few sites...

    http://e-smokeireland.com/mods/ boards for 10% off

    http://esmaugireland.com/

    https://irishvape.com/mods/ecigarettes-mods/tc-mods/

    http://www.efag.ie/36-vv-mods

The next 2 sites are in China,we all use them because they are alot cheaper & the shipping is free or very cheap, only one drawback,it can take up to a month for delivery, ideal if you are not in a hurry, make 50 orders but try & keep every order under €21 or the Customs will be sniffing,if you buy something like a mod for $50,it's a 50/50 chance the Customs will charge you extra, but it's still cheaper to buy even with the Customs charge.

    https://www.fasttech.com/category/3099/electronic-cigarettes/

China is shut down at the moment because of their New Year, opens again on the 2nd Feb.

American stars : strawberry fields forever 12mg
    Eliquid : watermelon & fruit mix 18mgs

Not sure what the ratios are, wasn't really sure what juices to get

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this but I'm wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction here.
I'll be getting a SMOK Alien 220w kit pretty soon and I'm wondering what would be the best batteries to get for this mod?
The only mods I've had up until now had built in batteries so I've never needed to worry about it.
I've done a bit of reading online and I've seen people recommending Samsung, LG, Sony, and a few others. To be honest I'm more confused now than ever!

I use a pair of Sony VTC5 in mine, but Samsung 25R or LG HE2 would be grand either. The Alien features balanced charging, and has all the safety features you could want. It's about as safe a mod as you can get.

Make sure you update the firmware as soon as you get it. http://www.smoktech.com/hotnews/products/alien-osubplus-upgrade-guide

It's simple enough, just remove the batteries, plug the Mod into a PC via the usb cable, download the firmware and hold the fire bar while it's transfering and updating to the mod. Takes a minute. It prevents mis-fires, an issue pre-firmware update models had. If yours already has V1.2.2 installed [tells you when you switch the mod on] then you're grand.

Hi EL Guapo, I just asked the same question here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057697925. VTC6's or Samsung 30Q's seem to be the clear winners from the test results posted in the thread.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

There's very little between Samsung 25R and their 30Q, I think the 25R is better for constant 20A but some say the 30Q has better life ... either or really.

Just got my first kit in the post, an aspire pockex. It's very harsh on my throat which must be the juice I chose. Is 18mg too high? I got 50ml eLiquid PG - Flavor : Fruit Mix / Fruit Combo, Strength : 18mg. I also got flavourtech American stars 12mg which isn't as harsh. Should I go down to 6mg? First day vaping so don't really know what I'm doing

It could be the nicotine strength is too high, I'd be weary of going to 6mg only because it might be too low to stop cravings at this stage. If the liquid is high in pg it could explain the harsh throat hit too. If you can try a higher vg liquid at the current strength, just to rule it out.

With a 0.6 ohm coil 18mg will feel like vaping 32mg!!

That strength was fine 3 years ago when coils were between 1.8 and 2.8ohm, the vape was nowhere near as potent. I was on 18mg for a while, but the first time I tried a sub ohm tank with 6mg juice, even that blew the throat out of me :D I suggest you try 6mg, it'll be a lot more pleasant.

The coils you get included are 0.6ohm, You're going to be vaping in around 25w for a nice comfortable vape, so 18mg is definitely going to have a punch!

  • Registered Users Posts: 107 ✭✭joejoe87

I nipped out and got some 6mg from the Vip stall in Galway SC, definitely a lot smoother. Was kinda getting used to the 18mg but was too harsh altogether. Cheers for the advice

I'm enjoying the pockex but the drip tip gets so hot after a few seconds it burns my lips, scalding hot
