Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've given the F16 carto tank that Mr Chrome sent me another try and I'm loving it. I didn't take to it at first but for some reason I've got it working lovely now.

What would be the next step up from this? I've heard the agr+ isn't that great, is there another tank and carto worth getting?

What's a rainbow killer? How does this work?

I would've said the AGR. Never had a problem with mine. The X8 is another tank option. Past that there are the expensive ones by Kir Fanis.
LR Boges are still "the standard" for cartos I think, maybe check ECF to see if carto&tank combos have advanced since 2012.
Rainbow Killer = Killer 705 clone. It's a rebuildable atomiser inside a tube the width of a carto so it fits into carto tanks and has a juice feed system from the tank to the coil.

They have some lovely pyrex tanks at IBTanked in the US too. You can get them customised if you're into that kind of thing.

Hi Guys! :) Is this the best starter kit:

    http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/kangtwist.htm

I've never used a Kanger Twist before, is it the best?

My Sister-in-Law is gonna try vapping, she really loves her cigarettes, but she is keen to give vaping a try.

Sadly she had an accident a few years ago. She broke her neck, so she is now paralyzed. The reason I'm saying all this is coz my Sis-in-Law only has partial use of her hands and arms. But in fairness to her she is a she is managing really well, she is always pushing herself to do more and more.

But I'm worried that she might have some difficulty holding the e-cig and pressing the button, another concern is that she may not be able to change the voltage, although most people leave it at the same setting. She has always family around her who will help out, but I want to recommend something that is easy for her to use. She is able to hold and smoke cigarettes, so she should be able to manage the e-cig.

So, do people think the Kanger Twist is the best, I always see people recommending it. I use the iTaste VV VW and I love it, but its a funny shaped battery. Out of every 5 clearomizers I buy, either the same or different brands, only 4 will work, they don't seem to register with the battery. I have two iTaste's and its the same with both. I love them, but I can't 100% depend on them. I wanna recommend something that my Sis-in-Law can depend on.

My Sis-in-Law is a trooper, even though she has been through so much, she is still always smiling and upbeat, she never ever complains. She really is an inspiration. I'd love to see her giving up the smokes!

    Thanks a million! :)

    Hey Gillian,

I'm using that itaste too, and I've no problems with any of the protanks on it, although some other clearos don't register with it but work fine on my ego batteries.

For your SIL, you could also get a couple of the small ego batteries too rather than the 900mah or 1,000mah ones if she finds them too heavy. There's no voltage control, but once they're kept charged they are fine, and really light.

I use them for out and about quite a bit.

    Good luck!

Like Grindle said, I would say the agr too. I had issues with the agr+, flooding, etc. but i loved the origional agr.
I think you said you ordered the kayfun, if you did then that would be your next step up, bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it you'll never look back.

I've ordered a Kayfun off fasttech, but they don't seem to be in any great rush to ship it.

Hi Folks, I'm new to vaping and looking for the best value etc. I'm seeing a lot of counterfeit goods out there. Is Joyetech still the best? Do they not own the whole eGo thing? I'm seeing huge variations in prices and a lot of them are selling poor quality copies. Any recommendations on the best sites to buy from? Apologies if this has already been asked but there's too many posts to read :) thanks!

Oh and the dekang.ie thing was a bit cheeky yes. Its the same guy behind www.electronic-cigarette.ie and its his wife/sister(same address) thats behind Eirhorse. Is eirhorse any good? Would be happy to buy an Irish product if its good!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,906 ✭✭✭EGriff

I think that Eirhorse stuff is just re bottled dekang. Surely if they're going to produce an e-liquid in Ireland like they claim they've done they could employ someone who speaks English for an hour to write the descriptions on the website.

The whole site is a bit of a shambles in fairness, I wouldn't buy anything off it myself.

And what happened with dekang.ie that was cheeky?

They're one of the best eGo producers, but for your second question: eGos were invented by Janty who outsourced production to Joyetech who then robbed Janty's product and made it their trademark.

I've never had a problem with electronic-cigarette.ie, absolutely never... If you like a strong vape, with comparable TH(throat hit)to B+H or Rothmans filthy cigs.... Well Eirhorse BH 'I Think' will not disappoint, with great TH and smooth but 'pretty' strong taste and really no sweet taste, but a GOOD taste... Anyway check it out http://www.electronic-cigarette.ie/index.php?products=product&prod_id=315 P.s I honestly don't know if it's Irish or not(I hope some Irish guy is getting something out off it)anyway good luck :)

P.s: www.electronic-cigarette.ie have basically same day shipping with 'nearly' next day delivery, I know that's as much thanks to An Post, but just thought I'd mention it.

popped down to purplebox in temple bar there on monday.

completely satisfied would be a understatement lol
picked up the itaste mvp2 v2 with the iclear 30 and was given a free wall charger and free bottle of juice, all for e52 :D
really glad made jump into the vv/vw world and im really liking the way the iclear 30 vapes, kanger t2 was my fav clearo before but the vapour/flavour im getting at the min at v3.8 out of the iclear is spot on for me.
also i thought the box shape might feel weird but its fine to hold.

i hunt up reviews of everything before i buy and the only two "problems" ive found with the itastes are not on this model which was a extra bonus. :D
the button is no way hard to press and the on/off switch on bottom on unit does sit flush into the unit so no wobble when placed on table

also the manager is really friendly and the shop looks very well setup.
was really worth the trip down and ill def be popping up there again when im up dublin

Why did you point me in that direction, I could spend some serious money on their gear.

I love the tank Ionised posted a picture of in the vape porn thread. Might just have to get one to go with my nemesis clone.

In my opinion the best value is actually spending your money on good gear to begin with instead of buying cheap and then wanting something better and go buy again.
I'm using the tesla mod with an Iclear30 amongst other clearomizers but it is really the business, they're on offer at 69 euros on ezsmoke.ie at the moment

Yeah, I've always had good experiences with them too. If you order something and it doesn't seem right to them they'll call and check that you've ordered the right stuff.

Can anyone recommend a nic base from e cigshop. Gonna try some DIY.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 663 ✭✭✭masonchat

what do you mean as in pg/vg ratio ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭M00lers

Only had a quick look in the site and thought I saw a few options for nic base!! Suppose I'd better have another look.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 663 ✭✭✭masonchat

you can choose if you want say 100ml of 100mg nicotine/ml in a full PG OR VG or MIX of 50/50 pg/vg so nicotine strenght will be the same but the ratio of pg/vg you can alter.

100mg very strong so make sure you know what ur doing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭M00lers

I understand all that, I just thought there was more than one brand of nic on the site but I was mistaken. Vaped some 45mg in a sub ohm dual coil build in an Atomic RDA with the airholes wide open. Serious nic hit. Not looking to repeat that experience. .......yet!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 663 ✭✭✭masonchat

muhahaha , im just lookin at chinese site 1liter 50mg nicotine 61 euro delivered, now even allowing for customs and extra postage would be around 80 euro , users reckon its ok .

probably not worth it i guess save about 45euro on the liter
