Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why wouldn't you get much flavour @.3ohm. I find for the most part that flavour increases in that range. I'm usually at about .35ohm myself, plenty of flavour. I reckon the extra heat brings out the flavor in most juices.

Dammit! Ah well. Yes it does.

0.3 ohms, I was at 0.7 with dual coils, maybe that's where I'm going wrong. At that low resistance you can't be getting much flavour though?
Tons of flavour, but if I want more I can close the airholes off (and potentially choke to death on the TH). Depends on the wire, thinner wire with less wraps at the same resistance would vape hotter and might affect the taste for the worst.

Have you ordered a 3D from FT yet? $15! I'm wary of buying something without reviews but it'd be a great device if it works.
Same, I'm waiting for those first FT reviews to come in to make sure they haven't glanced over some crucial aspect. Cloning the parts is one thing but knowing why they're there is another!

Can anyone recommend a good bricks & mortar shop in Dublin City centre that I can go in and have a look before I buy? Preferably somewhere that opens on Sundays.

We're using the same wire, what diameter are your coils? I'm using a 2mm drill bit. I'll try a lower res coil as soon as I get some higher rated batteries.

And I guess I'll be the guinea pig so, myself and mr chrome.

Really liking the DEA liquids especially "Nemesi ". Amazing flavour. Getting them from the Vaping Botique which I would recommend. They have DEA and Flavor Art liquids which I really like. They also have American Made Premium Liquids but haven't tried them yet!

Placed my second order with them today. Good customer service too, they emailed me straight after I placed my order advising they have refunded my money as they were out of the 9mg nicotine strength i ordered. Also said I could have it in the 18mg or choose another product for free. Sweet!

I'm using a standard Sigelei Kick and I'm getting lots of misfires, which I'm blaming the kick for.

Is this a common problem, or should I try a new kick?

Are the two Fasttech $8 kicks any good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,715 ✭✭✭Gryzor

My own experience of the Sigelei Kick is good. I use it in the nemesis clone, no misfires.
Make sure it making a good connection sideways in the mod. If there's any paint inside the mod tube, this will affect it. Lastly, make sure the contacts top and bottom of the kick are clean...

I've tried all that. Still get the odd misfire though. It may be cartos actually, for some reason they don't screw tight on to my nemesis.

Is an AW battery really twice as good as an efest? Why are they twice the price?

I need a couple of 18650s and I like the idea of the new efest 18650 2600mAh efest battery, or should I go for AWs?

Have you tried adjusting the pin?

    Yeah, I have.

With a carto I need to use the pin to lock it in place as I can't dscrew it tight like I can a protank.

It's a fault of the Nemesis, real & clones - short thread section. Combine that with an atty that suffers the same or has the threads low & you have that problem.

Are AWs twice as good? Probably not. You're paying for an esteemed brand name. They're generally the same batteries beneath the wrapper, but AW get first pick from Panasonic for their best batteries. Efest would be the class below, the ones AW didn't want.

Bought a kangertech Evod and a T2, and I have to say, it's miles better than the last yoke I had. It doesn't tick all the boxes but it does the job and was a bargain at €17. Very impressed.

So I'm tempted by those bodge carto's and hearing about them for an age now and how good they are. So I decided to try them out. Maybe this is the end of an era for me, no more clearo's??
    1 x Boge F17 Cartomizer Tank €5.25
    1 x Boge F16/F17 Cartomizers
    - Boge F16/F17 Resistance: 1.6-2.0 ohm €8.50

Ok, I have an F16 that Mr Chrome gave me. Happy to pass it on to anyone wanting to try cartos.

If that's ok with Mr C?

Oh, these carto's are pre punched so can use them out of the box :).

I got the 12watt vw one and I find it grand. Don't know about the vv one. TBH I rarely use it because of the size.
Saying that I ordered an evolv 15w clone from desire ecig. I was only getting the paps 2.5 clone and I spotted the kick and thought...why not!

I can't recommend it because I won't recieve it for 3 or 4 weeks. Its €9.50 and about €4.50 delivery. They also have an interesting looking kayfun lite plus with afc beside the 510 just like the original.

Sorry I can't put up a link but its desire ecig, and you will find them under the mod/rba section.

When should I start worrying about a fasttech delivery?

Usually it turns up two weeks after it is despatched to overseas country. It is now three weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭M00lers

Usually take about a calander month for me. Got a mod this morning that I ordered on the 24th Feb, shpped on the 26th Feb. Too early to start worrying.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭rickyjb

I'm waiting on something that was "despatched" to overseas country on the 6th March, ordered it mid February sometime.

I have a lot of packages on the way at the moment, fasttech sending you an email saying something is shipped means nothing as far as I can see, you can still be waiting 2 weeks for it to be dispatched, sometimes it's only a couple of days if you're lucky. The actual time it takes to reach you after that seems completely random, probably somewhere between 10-25 days. Not sure if that's down to Singapore/Hong Kong Post, An Post in Ireland or if it gets examined by customs.

But yes, definitely too early to start worrying.

They're pretty responsive if you open a support ticket, they don't tell you anything useful but they will get back to you within 24 hours :)

So when do we see photos on the Vape Porn thread?

It's a Launcher clone, not really vape porn worthy. Nice solid mod with copper pins though.

Fair enough, maybe later. Want to get the dremel out and give it a good polish. Then check the voltage drop etc.

Question for those in the know since I'm behind the times these days. I was looking at the joyetech eMode and I like the look of it (price aside). I'm especially keen on the adjustable draw so I'm wondering if anyone can recommend for or against the eMode or suggest a similar device that has an adjustable draw feature. Thanks.

Can't speak for or against the eMode but there are airflow-controllers for other devices available (although out-of-stock @ Vaperus)

Get onto Vaperus to see what diameter the ring is - one of the things most of our vendors fail on is mentioning the sizing, like they expect you to research before you buy - bad move. And that stands for all my fave Irish vendors.
I have no idea what size vape you use nowadays so that yoke could be massive in comparison. WHO KNOWS? Make the user guess!

If you really want adjustable draw an RDA with AFC is the biz-nizz.
