I have various dental issues that need rectifying in the near future. An extraction or two, perhaps, and some fillings maybe.

I'm currently unemployed. Is it worth applying for a medical card first before landing my arse on the chair? I'm receive unemployment benefit currently.

This sticky thread covers all the dental care entitlements of the Medical Card - very poor coverage nowadays.
Even if you get a card be sure to confirm your dentist accepts them - not all will do Medical Card work.
