THE RODHOUSE DOORS RETURN TO CORK
    DECEMBER 3RD 2011
    AN CRUISCIN LAN
    19 DOUGLAS STREET
    CORK
    ONSTAGE 10PM TWO HOUR SHOW
The Roadhouse Doors is a complete tribute show recreating a live 1960’s Doors concert as closely as possible. This gig is a must see for anyone who enjoys good live music, and not just Doors fans. The set spans the very best of The Doors repertoire, providing the perfect facsimile of the Morrison era. Equipped with authentic 60s gear, accurately capturing the sights and sounds of this seminal sixties band and bringing the psychedelic experience roaring into the 21st century. From LA Woman, Riders on the Storm, Light My Fire, The End, Break on Through and Love me two Times, the bands passion for detail will astound. To recreate the whole 1960's feel, the band have assembled a pre-show, nostalgic audio montage featuring, music/radio ads and some of the most iconic speeches of `60s American culture. Shaping a generation with Martin Luther King, J.f.k and the Anti-war movement The Doors inspired a time of free love and liberation influencing a new generation and its ideals while defining rock n roll and pop culture into the present day. With the psychedelic rattle of `The lizard King`.

It has been 40 years since Jim Morrison meet his tragic early death in a Paris apartment. Since then the legend of The Doors has grown like any other band that had their halcyon days cut short by tragedy. This iconic band sound tracked the struggles and victories of the late sixties, becoming as intrinsically linked to the time as Dylan, Hendrix and The Stones
and with some members of The Beatles known to have seven copies of The Doors debut album, The Doors. They influenced their peers and broke the rules.
The Roadhouse Doors are by far the best tribute to Jim Morrison and The Doors around. Undoubtedly a show not to be missed by any discerning music fan, of any age.
From the opening number you know you’re dealing with pure quality and talent, with the exact same band instruments as the original Doors, amazing musicianship and sense of anticipation in the air you will feel like Jim Morrison is watching over your shoulder as The Roadhouse Doors excite and enthral you in the most gripping live music show on the road today turning the venue into a rock n roll orgy, always leaving you wanting more.
