Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i would go with a suffolk. easy enough to get a ram for decent money and they thrive better and willbe finisher a lot sooner than the leicster. ya could always go with a texel either

blue leicester are maternal breed rather than a terminal breed which you would need to look at, suffolk, texel, vendeen charlaois etc is what you want.

i have a blue leicester myself which i cross with my lanarks to produce my mule ewes which are fantastic bredding sheep

Dose them for worms and fluke. Inject them for clostridial diseases and make sure have enough feed...

what weight are the ewe lambs are you planning to put them in lamb??

I have loads of grass. Cows were in early left a lot of grass behind them. Yeah going to put them in lamb. They suppose to be ready for the ram. Haven't seen them yet they're being delivered on sat.

llyen r a great breed of sheep produce good breeding ewes and can also kill out fairly good factory lambs!!!Havent gone down the pedigree avenue with them but have crossed them with Blue Leister & Texel Cross Ewes good results:D

Put me down for your best lamb ram next year
    Cheers

Also Blue Leister lambs produce lovely tasty meat and in my experience once the Blue Leister has stoped growing bone they are very easy
to finish.just arent an aful fast finisher unlike the texel or suffolk...,,,
