battlefield 3 xbox live sign in problem

    hi all...

    got a major problem.

    never played xbox 360 online before

    went out and bought a wireless adaptor, connected ok to network

    have also had a "free" xbox live account for ages.

    changed to xbox gold tonight

    when i try to play battlefield 3 online, it pops up an error message saying that "you must be logged onto XBOX LIVE to access XBOX LIVE game features"

    but i AM logged onto xbox live...

    anyone got any ideas? my hearts broken!!!!

    Are you downloading the game update when the game boots? If you don't it signs you out of Live until you update it. That could be your problem.

    You need to enter the code for the "Online Pass", you'll find it in the disk box.
