Question: 6 hour contract. 8 hours have been worked this week. Called in on short notice. Do you have to work? Or are you protected by only working your contact hours. This is a theory question more than anything. Also said person also has only been employed by the employer for less than 6 months. If the employee refuses he/she can be fired as they won't be protected by the UD act. Is that correct?
