Mulloys Irish Stout tin out of date

Any ideas what to do with mulloys Irish stout tin (out of date since Nov 2010) a few posts on the net say go ahead but get a new yeast.. the yeast with it is 15 gm Brew Cellar English Ale yeast..any other suggestions for yeast if I decide to brew it? A. Chuck it in bin and be done with it... B. Chuck it on compost heap in…

A. Chuck it in bin and be done with it...
B. Chuck it on compost heap in garden (would this attract rats?)
C. Brew it up as normal and chance it for the laugh?

I would brew it up with a new yeast, I'd say it will be fine. Try Nottingham Yeast or Safale S04. Make it up with a kilo of spraymalt or brewing sugar.
