Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Silver. I for one am not sure what you're asking here, maybe I'm missing something?

Have you a PB CH calf you want name suggestions for or what?

2011 calves must start with G.

I am looking for a name for a charolais calf . Its a purebred heifer. Forget the letter G. Just a name.

    Forget the letter G.

So you're not going to register her?

Sorry I did not know about the G bit. You are spot on. Thanks for the info. Any suggestions appreciated.

    I 'm registering her.

Right. I assume so you are a member of the society and have agreed a herd name.
With me I make them up as I go along. I often use something topical. For example if I had a bull calf in the last week I'd probably go for Gaddafi:)

You could look through her pedigree and see is there a G somewhere in the dam line. For example in CF51's pedigree there is Grimaldi on the sire side and Guotte on the dam side.

Anyway. Pick something that means something to you!

Genetyllis ("capable of reproduction")- epithet of the Greek god Aphrodite

(An epithet or byname is a descriptive term (word or phrase) accompanying or occurring in place of a name and having entered common usage.)

    very fitting meaning :)
