Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    4 World Series as GM is not to be sniffed at but with the payroll he has to play around with, shouldn't they be getting closer than they do every year? Only 2 WS appearances and 1 win in the last ten years!

    Certainly good news for the Yankees. I don't know that I was surprised but it certainly was a decision that it seemed from the outside at least that could go either way.
    Still a long way to go for the Yankees though with their pitching rotation as other then the emergence of Ivan Nova there are huge holes there.

    It was a no-brainer for the Yankees, he is the staff ace and has no probs pitching under the New York spotlight. He had to be retained at all costs.

    The Yankees biggest need is starting pitching so they will be making a play one or more of the top free agent. Who is the best out there probably CJ Wilson and Oswalt, both have negatives. CJ Wilson wasnt exactly effective in the playoff so he may be suspect under pressure. Oswalt is starting to become injury prone.

    Cashman has his work cut out for this off season...

    He's too busy driving around Japan.but yes he wasn't too impressive during the playoffs. Him being straight edge is his most redeeming feature in my eyes though.
