Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Folks; I'm a bit of a lurker not poster around these parts!

I bought a MS Alumni 5.1 system from seven Oaks a few years back in a sale.
when I eventually got around to installing the system I found the Sub was faulty. So, because the warranty was out, I went and bought a Wharfedale Diamond SW150 instead from Superfi.
I brought the MS sub into a shop in Dublin to see if it would be repairable, they said it was, but the cost was slightly more than the cost of the new Wharfedale.
Would anyone around these parts know if there is a market around for repairable subs?
Before anyone asks, I can't remember what the exact fault on the sub is (in technical terms). The symptom is that it works, but is 'fuzzy'.
    Cheers,
    Gman

    Hi gman2k,
Re. your faulty sub, I can remember someone mentioning the hi-fi-Hospital to me in Blanchardstown. A quick web search provided the web site of www.thehifihospital.com & phone number 01-8827375.
But I don't know anything about them or the quality of their work, because I have never used them. I wish you well with having your M.S. sub repaired.
    Regards, Pepsie
