Unless Leicester can get a result in Belfast, it's looking very likely that the winner will have an away QF. Clermont looking the most likely for me currently. I can see it ending up as:

    Clermont 20
    Ulster 18
    Leicester 17

ulster have a good chance to get at least 2nd place but jeez they didnt come out in 2nd half at all. should have been more experienced than that to let them in so easily.

Brian O'Driscoll clearly being lined up as Sky rugby's answer to Jamie Redknapp!

Unreal piece of skill by Trinh-Duc to dummy a glasgow player charging down his clearance kick. Montpellier lead 13-10 with 5 minutes to go.

    Montpellier 13-13 Glasgow FT

Oh nooooooooo !!! How come Paillaugue did miss that... :( Ah well... at least we're still unbeaten at home. Hopefully we can beat Bath.
Turning point in the game is that stupid decision to go for the post with that very tough penalty kick from the touch line 22 min to the end. We were dominating the game at this time. Should have gone for the line-out and try scoring a second try. We chickened out as Paillaugue did in the extra time. We're learning the hard way... :(

MHRC definitely deserved to win. Score does not for a minute reflect the rugby played. Glasgow shouldn't even have got a DB from that game. MHRC a bit naive at times but definitely the better team on the day. As you say, they'll learn...

Quotes of the match so far re Devin Toner............

"If you're looking for someone to put the star on the Christmas tree, there's your man"

"BrianO'D would have been proud of that" (Dummy & offload for Lukes Try)

    "Its the Devin Toner show"

Wonder if I can find odds on who's getting MOM :D

    Edinburgh v Cardiff - Att. 4384
    Ospreys vSaracens - Att. 7098
    Leinster v Bath Att. 46,365

Pathetic performance from the Welsh and the Scots and its not even RDpro12!

    Pity.

What were the ticket prices like for all of the above..?

Disappointing Edinburgh couldn't get a better crowd in for that game. They've a superb shot of getting into the QF. Racing are completely disinterested and they should be able to beat LI at home. Michael Bradley's stock must be rising significantly at the moment. Visser is worth his weight in gold for them though.

Great try Quins. I've got a tenner on Northampton under 27.5 points today, going on their scoring form that should be money in the bag.

    The pitch is a disgrace.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Pitch is really cutting up. And only 15mins in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,303 ✭✭✭ongarite

    WOW!!

Toulouse really bottling this. Missing simple kicks and making lots of mistakes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Bloody hell. This is great stuff and very interesting from an Irish perspective. Toulouse lose this one and they might be going away from home for their QF. Would be actually very handy if someone could knock them out without Leinster/Munster/Ulster having to play them.

    Forward pass!!! idiot

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Toulouse are really struggling to cope with Quins shooting up in defence. You'd think McAlister and Jauzion could slip through them but nothing thus far.

EDIT: Murphy's Law. Took the forwards to slip through.

Surely Quinns can't keep that defensive effort up for the full 80 though????

Toulouse 10 Harlequins 15 at HT.

Really good spectacle. Quinns have been blitzing like crazy and hitting Toulouse behind the gain line. McCalister has missed 3 or 4 kicks at goal and Jauzion has missed 2 or 3 tackles, Fritz has been playing out of his skin since he came on.

Looks like they couldn't keep it up for 40. A Quins win would make the group very interesting, but I'd expect Toulouse to win in the end.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

It's a shame these two sides are in the same pool. Both would be worthy of spots in the semi finals ahead of the likes of Edinburgh who could well top their pool. I can see Quins winning the Amlin Cup again if they finish second.

Also, this pitch is a shambles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,262 ✭✭✭iroced

Ouh... Servat 1cm short off the try line. But Doussain can convert Toulouse domination to put them in front :).

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Fantastic work from Tom Williams to get that ball back and set up try.

    22-19 to Quins

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Fritz should be absolutely in the bin for that. Very lucky they couldn't identify the number. He's a great player but always had a bit of a mean little streak in him. Blindside hit from an offside position, sneaky.

FML. 3-0 at half time and then Castres decide they don't want to try at all.

Doussain misses a conversion from out wide to take the lead, 24 to 25 to Harlequins with Nick Easter in the bin for 10 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,303 ✭✭✭ongarite

24-25 now and a penalty to Harlequins.

They are down to 14 players though.

How long left in the Quinns match..?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,303 ✭✭✭ongarite

6 mins left and Toulouse down by 4 points.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

This Wallace lad for Quins is a tank.

Nick Evans must p*ss ice cubes. Slots another penalty to push Quins to 4 points in front. Massive finish here. Come on Quins!

Castres are an embarrassment outside of their home ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,303 ✭✭✭ongarite

Another penatly to Quins. Super punt down field and rucking from Mohne.

    Evans cool as ice.
24-31 to Quins. 4 mins left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 751 ✭✭✭lologram

What a player Evans is. Ice in his veins!

Dan who.... this is a great performance from Quins.

Evans is unbelievable. Whacks it over the bar no problem.

24-31 with 3 minutes to go!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Spudmonkey

That Williams has made some impact.

BP for Northampton. Might be something for them to play for against Munster yet if they can beat Scarlets...

That aside, if Quins win this game it was his impact that swung it.
