Sitting the A levels in Ireland

    Hey everyone,

I left school at 16 so I don't have the leaving cert. Ive been doing web development for around a year now and have decided I'd like to do a degree in computer science. What I'm wondering is it is possible to sit the A levels in Ireland (home based learning) instead of the leaving cert? I had intended to do the next batch of exams (so 2012) but I was wondering is it too late in the year to register for the A levels now? Also does anybody know how much it costs to register and do the exams?

    Thanks a lot,

    Sean.
