    Hey Guys,

First time poster in this forum, hope all are well :)

I'm just about to start painting the walls in my bedroom, all the old paint and wallpaper has been stripped off but before I did that there were 2 huge patches of damp on the outside wall (inside the room of course) and I dont want it to happen again after the room is finished. Is there any way of treating the walls? A friend of mine said he heard of someone putting a coat of wallpaper paste all over the walls before painting them but I dont see how that would help seen as the damp came through the paste from the original paste?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
